£15m?

Saints won't let him go for less than £35m.

Mane - £35m
Shaw - £27m
Schneiderlin - £25m
Lovren - £20m
Chambers - £16m
Lallana - £26m

You aren't getting him on the cheap. He has 3 years on his contract.

Lallana looks like a bargain in that context given the level he's managed to reach under Klopp.

wont be 15mln... Defo north of 25mln

He will go for £40m. He is a top class player and many clubs are after him,

Anyway according to recent stats we have the best defence in Europe in terms of having the least amount of shots on our goal.

3 clean sheets in a row.

thought we were 1st on for him

Yeah, he looks brilliant at the moment, for England too. Hopefully he can help us do better at tournaments.

When's he back fit?

As a neutral (Celtic fan), I said repeatedly on here that 3 of our (now former) players were plenty good enough to play for a top 4 side in the Prem ... or even Utd (sorry, couldn't resist) .... Forster, VVD and Wanyama. I know they were "only" starring in the SPFL, bar a few CL games, but anyone could tell they were huge talents. All 3 will only get better too.

On big Virgil, the guy ticks every box you would want in a modern day CB ... Great in the air (at both ends of the pitch), pace, VERY good passer and dribbling out from the back, and can smack in 25 yard free kicks ... oh, and cool as feck into the bargain. In his time with us, his only weakness was occasional lapses in concentration defensively ... but that was always going to improve as he gained more experience and moved up the levels.

£15m?!! ... Wouldn't buy his right leg, mate.

ok , fair comment , i suppose i was under valuating him yes

Just to recap guys , that i obviously made a mistake in his valuation but would he be the answer to our defence or are we sufficient enough as we are?

davered ... Trust me, he would be an absolute star for you guys, whatever the price. Still only 25 now.

Loving watching the football under Klopp BTW.

i believe you are right Dave, i did make a mistake with the pricing and duly hold my hands up

Who would he replace though. Both Matip & Lovren have looked sound for most of this season, bar a slight blip at the beginning, and seem to be forming a decent partnership.

I don't see the point in buying for the sake of it. I'd also concentrate on shoring up the LB position as Milner, as good as he's been, isn't a LB.
