Nah I'd rather Southampton.
Even if we say we are equally likely to beat both Southampton and Liverpool.
If we play Liverpool not only could we not win a trophy, but Liverpool could win a trophy.
Whereas if we played Southampton in the final the worst that could happen is Southampton win a trophy...

True but bare this in mind. Klopp has lost his last 4 cup finals.
I agree, winning a cup against hated rivals is brilliant, but only when you win. When you lose it's the absolute worst.
Whoever is the manager for Liverpool is irrelevant when they play us. Even under Dalglish and Rodgers they'd be up for it against us.
I'd rather avoid Liverpool at all costs, despite it being a 'dream' final for the neutral.

The fans of whoever loses the final will just say it's a tin pot trophy that they don't really care about
I really hope it's a LFC v MUFC final, as someone said above beating your rival in a final is much more satisfying than beating a smaller team.

It's not just about me but about what is best for United as well.
I'm not concerned by Klopps run of losing finals.
The way he has us performing is a big improvement on last season and his finals lost whilst at Dortmund are irrelevant to any potential we have this season.
If we were to both win our semi final games, I actually think you lot would beat us in the final for some reason.
I wouldn't give a damn about losing the League Cup final under most circumstances but would hate to lose to you lot in it.
