Mate its a Fckd up subject for sure, I do believe the club were in a difficult position when the matter arose, but the club have the best lawyers money can buy and they must have been advised.

The important point is as soon as the Police and FA decided to act the club followed suit

You can't get much more clarity than that at this stage.

Exactly the club took legal advise, recognized the claim, acted upon it , this was agreed by the claimants solicitors as well as the clubs.

Taking responsibility where the FA and police failed.
