The moment I saw Mane went off I feared the worst. Even a half fit Mane is better than any player we have upfront. He gives us that counter attacking element.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Well he's not is he. Firmino and Coutinho are far better players.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Coutinho or Firmino have not the pace to give us a counter attacking outlet unlike Mane. For me Mane is important to our style. Matip is our best defender also.

We were playing better when Can was out injured. Wijnaldum lost his place after his injury.
This is why we are not going to get above teams like Chelsea and Arsenal. They would never lose a game when they are 3-1 up. They will at least come back with a draw. Why can't we finish a game? Simply because of continuous mistakes from our outfield players and keeper.

Very poor from Klopp too. We all saw what was going to happen and like before we did nothing to stop it. Should have bought Klavan on and take the point.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Gambled and we nearly won it ourselves at 3-3. That's football.
Utterly ridiculous to find ourselves in the position we did though. The number of men we had forward protecting a 3-1 lead, absolutely stupid as fack.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Happened a number of times under Klopp. We never shut up shop. We should have taken the point and shored up the leaky defence.
He's made similar mistakes this season but not punished. Today he was.
have to admit I think we do need a other cb. I thought lovren was good enough but clearly isn't he would be a good back up but that is it. someone to partner matip. and get mig back in goal. last few games the opposition hardly had chances so we have not really seen if he is any good. I don't think he is better than mig
I never agree with taking a point against a team not a rival against us in the table. If Bournemouth get 3 points it doesn't matter to us and I'd rather kick on and try and get three than sure up and get 1 point. Taking 0 rather than 1isnt a big difference.
Taking a draw should only be important when playing somebody like Arsenal or Chelsea because if they get 3 points and we get 0 that is likely to make a bigger difference in the race for top 4.

I don't think Liverpool can shut up shop, we're best attacking and pinning teams back.
Bournemouth couldn't breathe for opening half hour and once we cooled off and tried to play the defensive balls, we ballsed it up.
Howe subs changed the game for Bournemouth. Klopp didn't do it well. I thought Origi was poor but played the whole game. Firmino should have been the center forward

I don't think "defensive balls" had any impact whatsoever on the game in fact they served to draw the opposition out to get us our goals. There were three main things which changed the game. Stanislas getting injured and Fraser coming on, which forced Milner back who had been having a very easy ride the whole game, always being the free man in attack. The keeper giving them goals and Mane going off which allowed them to get forward without worrying about his pace on the sides.
Mignolet should never have been dropped, I said it at the time, it sent out the wrong message to both keepers, dropped when playing well and you get an easy passage straight into the team despite the onlther keeper doing well. The signs were there that he wasn't ready, in all the games he's played. It's time to make a decision, sell Mignolet, buy a keeper and relegate Karius to the bench as young backup who could improve if shown you don't have an easy passage in and you have to perform.
How's the title race going? Another easy 3 points I assume?

It's going better than Spurs'.
Unlike Spurs we don't get given matches with dodgy penalties for us when we didn't deserve anything from the game but still we are doing as well as we hoped for going into the season.

You did. As we've seen this season when weaker teams come and sit deep defending and it's difficult to break them down this season. Spurs have found that out also. Getting the first goal changes the whole game and being given it with a dodgy penalty makes it much easier. The opposition then have to come out which plays into your hands.
The same should have happened today but our keeper gave them the game.

At that time both attack and defending was failing. Lost that spark Mane gave us. Only option was to bring a defender on and put Lucas into midfield or play a back 3.
If we had coutinho and mane still on pitch then still attack but the defence was crying out for help and Klopp didn't react.

It all failed. They made changes albeit with a bit of luck with injuries for them and us, changing it in their favour, we struggled to react, we didn't have the players, due to injuries to Coutinho, Sturridge, Ings and then Mane to do that offensively so should have closed up and played from there. Easy to say in hindsight though.
and to think we were literally a couple of millimetres from going 4-1 up after Boruc's fack up, bloody unbelievable.
