Makes sense to chuck it from a Spurs point of view.
But...co-efficient points are relatively tight between England and Italy so it could end up putting the 4th CL spot in jeopardy.
This is a tricky one!!
I want us to win a cup and we have a chance in the Europa and it would include champions league qualification if we were to win it.
But
Europa does no favours at all for our league and domestic cup campaign and we could quite likely end up out of top 4 race and out of Europa.
Would be nice to still be in a cup so I hope for a win against CSKA.
I reckon the board/Levy will be demanding us to win due to extra revenue the Europa will bring.
But...co-efficient points are relatively tight between England and Italy so it could end up putting the 4th CL spot in jeopardy.

Nope. Top 4 leagues get 4 teams straight in groups from 18/19 so we are more than safe.
For:
Chance to win something.
Chance to play squad players and see what they can do.
Will make it even more embarrassing if we lose and come bottom of the group.
Against:
Probably won't win it anyway. Wembley will help ensure that.
Think we can mount a title challenge without it.
Not really bothered either way I guess.
The only benefit I can see us giving us mire game time to get used to Wembley for next year. And if by some massive fluke we won it, then at least we qualify for CL
I want Spurs to win every game.
Plus - it'll be my third CL game at Wembley, and it might be nice to see what it feels like for us to win one.....
Yes, let's lose it and concentrate on top 4 starting with a win at Old Trafford.
Don't think Europa games will be at Wembley, sure I read somewhere it'll be back to WHL. Can someone confirm this ?

That's true, although we'd have to win games at Wembley in order to stay in it and get used to it.
May as well just ask to be excluded from playing in Europe altogether from now on.

Poch said we are staying at Wembley
Don't know whether it was blind faith, sheer incompetency or plain old laziness, but we failed to strengthen the squad sufficiently in the summer and we should pay for it.
Lose to CSKA, concentrate on trying to get back into the CL and the club have to rectify their mistakes.

Sensible post
Will the FA Cup and League Cup finals be played at Wembley next year if we reach them? If we somehow manage to get used to it and turn it into a makeshift fortress, that's going to a nice bonus for us, if we reach them.
Thats a lot of ifs in one post
I just hope we don't play any first teamers. The Europa is fine as long as the likes of N'koudou and Janssen are playing and we don't even include the important first teamers.
Pressure is off so watch us smash them
I really like the Europa, I wish we'd taken it a bit more serious the last two years, but it doesn't feel quite the same dropping into it because we were so poor in the CL.
And it clogs up our fixture list massively.
So this year I don't want us in it, which is a bit weird and bit sad, but there are so many quality teams in the league this year that we need to be on top of our game every game to stand any chance of top four (so we can be rubbish in the CL again next year )

It always is with Spurs
Jesus Christ
I don't want to offend anyone but is competing in two competitions at the same time really such an impossible challenge for Tottenham Hotspur? Like wow.
Why is this Chelsea/Mourinho worshipper on this article?
Fack off you no-mark scrote.
I don't want us playing Europa League footy because of the Thurs/Sun schedule in the league & I still think if we can get everyone fit & focused we can challenge for the title. With that said, given the strength of the big clubs and what might happen in the Jan window I fear that EL is our best chance for CL Next season. CSKA are Cr@p so lets start fast get a couple goals up & then get the FBs, Kane etc off/rested ahead of the United game
I find it laughable how clubs like Spurs (no offence) throw competitions they might have half a chance of winning so they can concentrate on the league (which they have no chance of winning).
It's not only Spurs, Arsenal have been guilty of it too in the past, but it makes no sense. I thought the game was about glory?
