Talk about taking things out of context...nowhere has he said they should not go home for Christmas. He simply mentioned the long gap between the third and fourth test and the 25 day gap between the tests and ODIs.
I know I over exaggerated the article but he is hinting if England are having long breaks in between then they will return the favour.
India perhaps could have been proactive and arranged a quick series in between but instead will be waiting for the BA jet to return.
A series in the middle of an ongoing series makes no sense whatsoever.
Christmas in Goa(India)is much more vibrant and colourful than in this cold and wet god forsaken island. I was there with my Portuguese friend once. 👍
He may have a point, but, having kids and a family, It'd be hard enough to be away from the family for such a long time, let alone during xmas.
So I can see Kohli's point, but, I don;t agree.
And Yes, if India were playing, they should be allowed a break for Diwali, and if Pakistan were playing they should be allowed time off for Ramzaan.
Some things are more important in life.
and regarding the point of the ECB or any other cricketing board not doing the same, I'd say:

So hats off to the BCCI for agreeing to this
lets get this straight when England play Australia they are in the middle of the test series. we play over Christmas and new year.. so its pointless going home. There is a break after the test series.. if India didn't want England to go home. They should have made the fixtures of the test series over Christmas and new year!

May Almighty bless their souls!!
Lets be honest a 25 day break is way too much. I would have thought 10-14 days would have been enough to go back home and enjoy Christmas and the New year.
I think kohli has a point, and rather than blaming ecb, we should be blaming bcci for this. Last time when India went to aus they had to play cricket for 5 months continuously. They can be more firm in restricting on how many matches we should be playing.
england have already been in Bangladesh..what more do India want? England to be away from home for 6 months? anyway England play more cricket then anyone else. people need to stop whining.
don't think kholi was whinging at all, just made a point that its a bit strange that big of a gap, I mean eng play on boxing day on the ashes don't they?
Turkey Korma for xmas dinner perhaps
