Fair enough Tranq, didn't think of it like that.
or i could just be billy bulshittin you all and get busquets in
We will do the draft as soon as predictions open later this week.
Should be thinking about getting better backup next season but know I'll revert to type, and release/sell Jesus for cash after the draft to try and improve on someone

Thought there might be interest in him, whereas think I rate Firmino higher than a lot
You wont need Isak, he'll be a few years away from doing anything like Odegaard, a lot of folk will forget about him. The other 3 already top players!
I thought we agreed that the release value of thesenew signings was 0 to avoid this issue?
Not 0, but they could be released for half as normal.

So releasing Neymar would only actually get him about £40m, which may still be enough to get a couple of players in.

Yeah but I thought it was agreed that this wasn't allowed - to prevent people just signing whoever has the highest tm value for releases.
yeah i factored the 50% in
If someone does release someone, can they then be picked in the draft again?
Can see Trebs point. Makes a bit of a mockery of the priority if he's simply released after everyone else has picked
Yeah true. I think it should be a 0 release value, because the saviour of being picked again would be too late for some i.e. if you just kept the player until the draft was over and then released him.
is it just one player each?
Or could maybe do take 50% of any players value or the player with a 0 release value? That way no one is being diddled at least
Don't see any harm in it personally, the purpose of the draft is to bring teams closer together in terms of quality so drafting someone to use their release value to improve multiple positions in your squad seems fair enough.
Although you'll probably get a better deal in a trade then through releases anyway.
Saying if someone wants to release they should have to do it straight away or take the 0 release value if we're doing that?]
Like if Lubo/tranq wanted to get most cash they'd have to do it straight away before the next persons pick, so releasing the player straight away for 50% or having the 0 release value after?
As otherwise first pick could pick someone, then release him after another 5/6 have picked and then someone at the top could pick him.
Sounds like a fair compromise, although I'd be surprised if any player in the draft gets released.
just make it a rule they cant be released whilst the draft is taking place, that way noone can repick, and it gives other managers a chance to make offers before players get released
I think we all could do with that one more match-winner...my draftee will be a starter
