I'm starting to get a bit narked with the press and pundits criticising pretty much everything our keeper and defence do. We won 4-1 FFS, is the ott analysis necessary?
I didn't get a chance to see Sky's analysis of the match. Was there any mention of Mignolet's save from Allen that would've made it 2-0 to Stoke?
I listened to him after the games, and though he looked an idiot. I felt Mignolet played extremely well and probably played the biggest part in winning the game saving Allens shot preventing it being 0-2 after 20 odd minutes. He also caught a few crosses and corners before and after they scored. And to top it off Carra said the save was a turning point and often gives teams a lift saying something like the team things oh we got away with one then then goes and says we need a new keeper.
It was Manes fault for the goal mainly then Lovrens, Clyne had a go at Mane after showing no effort to close down the cross. That peed me off the most because it was 2vs1 and the cross being closed down was priority as he had the cover of Clyne. Lovren could have done better vs Walters with a bit of anticipation, not sure Mignolet could have done better with a strong header from such a close range.
Mane stole the ball from Pieters. And then stopped. And didn't close him down. Lovren was too slow off the mark.
Definitely not Mig's fault.
