I agree Mons! Hes come into England with a team that can outspend most other clubs and imo has one of the best squads...
If he's as good as the majority of plastic football fans say he is then he should be doing ALOT better and like you said, until he's done it here then he'll forever be in Mourinhos shadow

I like that Pep is struggling. There's a lot of snobbery about how technically inferior the EPL is, but actually it is a very challenging league that requires a broad base of skills, more than just the ability to play pretty football.

Maybe not technically inferior but you're hardly showing up in Europe. Spanish clubs basically dominate the EU trophy cabinet.

Fans and the media alike I find have very distorted views of Guardiola. To most he's either the very best or completely overrated, and the truth lies somewhere in the middle.
He's been fortunate enough to manage the two best teams in the world at the time of appointment, but he did get both teams playing some fascinating football - he pretty much trail blazed an entire philosophy on how to approach the game tactically while at Barcelona, and unlike someone like Bielsa actually won stuff with his radial methods - so labeling him 'overrated' I think is very harsh.
Where I do agree with those who question the true value of his stock is his utter inflexibility, and as seen very recently, his complete reluctance to accept the criticism of those who question his philosophies weaknesses. He's still young enough to adapt, and he will have too at some point.
I'm surprised and I'm not. I pretty much expected what's wound up happening at City this season, for them to start like a house on fire and gradually fall away leading to Pep seeing the season as a learning curve. What I didn't expect was for him to crumble under the pressure as much as he has so far, but like I said time is on his side
I really don't get the argument that he's feeling the pressure, what pressure do people think he's currently under? We won the other day, it wasn't that that wound him up.
