not unless your from NI and not RC
Other than that youll be correct
No... Go way back and you will find out Celtic would sign anybody by judging them on a football pitch not by their faith i.e McgrainBig Jock and King Kenny
but 50 years since a NI ploddy
Old Bertie was he that last one?.
Celtic sign loads of NI players
Must be an accident then I guess
Were we not trying to sign Lafferty......
Is there actual any good NI ploody players out there?
no there all murder at least going by Celtic refusal to sign any for over 50 years
A will ask you again, did Celtic not try and sign Lafferty?
did you Ive no idea
Is that not like us trying to sign Lennon though
Yes Strachan did try and get him but he rejected us,to join rangers
well Ill take your word for it then.
So its still 50 years + then
Why is that?
A don't know, but we can not have a policy for not signing NI prodies when we tried to get Kyle can we.. if kyle did come to us,would he get death threats?
depends if you did!!!!!
and even if you did why the 50+ year gap
Its us that had the policy your not meant to copy it.
Don't think Celtic have ever had transfer policys like that

---oo---
Only if Allen McKnight is in his 80s.
There may be others but I'm not so keen as you to draw up a comprehensive list of Irish players by religion. Background isn't important.
then it must all have been a misunderstanding then.
You would think after Bertie they would have wanted more.
But there you go.... its a wee mystery...
ah Eugene
one slipped through
good shout Id forgotten about him.

Thankfully
I have never felt a need to check out how many players we have signed from a certain country or religion as it makes no difference. When they pull on the hoops they get my full support.
I would be embarrassed if my own support booed their own players for blessing themselves.
However getting back to the article I agree with Dos Dados some of our side would read between the lines for the same conclusion whether Rangers paid it or not! Let's be honest for that amount all the debt recovery would need to do is take 2 company cars off them.
Just remember,Celtic HAVE and NEVER will judge any player because of their background
--------------------------------------
I'm sure Mark Walters would disagree!
That was an embarrassing moment in Scottish football. Celtic never refused to sign a black player it was the fans being so backwards. i remember the game well. It was the first OF game my dad took me to and I couldn't understand why bananas were being thrown.
What Rangers fans fail to remember is they were just as guilty. they also threw bananas. Thankfully MOST of our country has grown up from that sort of thing.
Although by listening to the Rangers fans before the Dundee Utd match it isn't a minority singing No Surrender.
