That's it, sign a forward when we are shipping three goals at home to bottom of the table. Way to sort out our problems.

I think the squads morals are pretty good.

We are well placed in the fair play league and don't have too many bad stories, Firmino drink driving aside.

We're willing to let Jagielka find a new club

Looking back if we make such a signing we may just say yep, "that" was the catalyst for the successful season.
=============

Chelsea, Leicester, Spurs, City and Stoke are next opponents for Liverpool.

Not getting any easier I think

No problem with the bigger teams, its the park the bus types like utd, saints, Swansea etc we struggle with.

funny how when the team is doing well the liverpool fans trumpet last summer's net spend trophy, and claim their squad is strong enough.

few dodgy results and they all want to spend spend spend (throwing insults at the owners - who have spent heavily over the past few years - if they don't get a shiny new toy).

but i thought klopp didn't buy players, he made them?

yes, because i came to that conclusion solely on the basis of the OP.

I've seen plenty of fans say that the club needs cover for Mane, as if a) no one knew that he was african, and likely to go off to the ACON and b) every club needs specific cover for a player who will be absent for 4 weeks every two years.

Hi Gb, what's your opinion on Spurs at the moment? I remember a few months ago we had no chance of top 4. Is that still the case?

The good signings made in January are the exception rather than the rule. Teams do not want to business mid season as replacements are hard to acquire and they don't want to weaken their team.

Also a premium has to be paid because of the above which is not how FSG like to operate.

I doubt you will get your snoogy doogy GB.

Maybe Klopp should learn to park the bus now and then, and maybe then you wouldn't get battered at home by the bottom side

We won't sign anyone. Klopp is too stubborn and the owners are niggardly.

Excitable mancs jizzing over our first loss at home in over a year.

They drew with Stoke ffs.

The last snootier we got was Suarez. We are due another now surely?

I thought the signings this summer were underwhelming and bar Mane they have pretty much turned out how I expected. Matip is also a plus but hardly a signing to get you excited about our prospects.

While we have the current owners in place a CL place is the best we can hope for.

Matip has been a revelation. A fantastic piece of business by the club.

I think what you've done here is make the mistake of thinking a few reactionist posters on JA606 sum up the general feeling.

Most fans I know and speak to neither want nor expect money to be thrown at the problem. If you want to know what most are thinking it's how to get the best out of Sturridge, what's happened to Origi recently and whether Ojo might be ready for a few minutes off the bench.

But that type of sensible discussion probably wouldn't interest you.

funny, because it takes me all of about 90 seconds to find a few articles on your board in the last 16 hours calling for investment in the team, and plenty of comments on other threads calling for the same.

but yeah, it's just one or two crackpots.

So you admit your obsession is rampant

I don't even remember the last time I even looked at the manc page, let alone go trawling for articles just to prove a point.

You should get out more.

Yes, those 90 seconds that I will never get back prove my obsession.

And I wish your fellow liverpool fans would follow your lead and steer clear of the united board, and give us all a breather from the "6th....pogba £89m....17 games unbeaten and still 6th" quips.
