You can do poooorrrn in the US aged 18 and get bukkaked like MuDD on a night out with LVG, Giggs and Anderson but you cat drink until you're 21
You can start whacking off as early as 10 years old apparently.
Your parents pay tax on their earnings but if they save and leave you an inheritance over a certain value, this is liable for tax also

Makes sense...
In the UK, even if you pass your test you're not insured to drive the car after the test has finished.

yeah basically a learner driver is meant ot be accompanied by a fully licenced driver at all times, but I've done it myself, went to do my first test, absolutley made a mess of it so much I'm sure the woman giving it was scared fro her life, got back, got told I failed, went out and drove myself home with no one in the car with me!
Well, that's just stupid. My instructor picked me up in his car so I could drive down to do the test, then he waited and I drove home

The problem with the alternative is that generations down the line enjoy a wealth that they have not earned - we already have a huge issue with inherited wealth, so doing away with this tax would surely exacerbate the issue.

Yeah I know mate, the instructors offer to do this here too, but you can do the test in your own car and drive yourself to the test centre, fail and drive home
Also the test doesn't cover driving on the Motorway, you can't drive on it as a L driver but as soon as you pass the test you can, but you will never have experienced driving on a motorway, especially merging which is one of the hardest things to do as a novice driver.
Yeah, that's the same here. Dual carriageways are fine, but not M roads... so you can practise on dual A roads
If people drove correctly on motorways, I suspect over half of traffic jams would be solved instantly.
Sadly, too many people drive like massive caants so only driverless cars can save us now.

yeah I know it's madness, legally you'd be ok if there was a fully licenced driver with you, but I know loads of people, myself included who have done this. It was years ago when I actually passed but have not heard that this has changed.
