"Hanging on by our fingertips"
This is exactly how I feel. Make no mistake, Chelsea's absence from European football means they're heavy favourites to win it, but if something were to happen - injury to one or more of Costa, Hazard, Kante or Azpilicueta or a couple of dodgy results - then we need to be there close enough to apply some pressure. A lot was made of not wanting Arsenal to win the other day but ultimately the closer we are to Chelsea, the more it gives us something to chase rather than worrying about trying to keep the chasing pack at bay. I really wouldn't fancy us spending 2-3 months fighting solely to hold onto a CL spot.
If we want to be a big club, we need to start thinking big.
there were three? You have no chance. You will still finish behind us, so surely we have a better chance than your bottling team. Can't wait for Liverpool to smash you this weekend
I think you're being too kind to City Ledley. For me a 92nd minute winner against Swansea at home shows a frailty there. There was controversy about their winner and I think Swansea have a point and SHOULD have had a point.
I'm far from confident about beating lIverpool what with one penalty in two matches against bottom clubs. I also don't think Utd can be judged on yesterday's result against lowly Leicester. Utd offered nothing until they scored and against a better club would have continued to offer nothing. Where would they be without Ibra? As for Arsenal?I just don't know what to say.

Didn't see anything wrong with City's winner on Sunday. Swansea thought he was offside when he clearly was onside. Can't help but feel that KdB's miss vs Chelsea has had a huge effect on this title race.
puffin, I don't know why you bothered answering. Posters who make bold statements like that often end up looking like complete pri*ks.
Arsenal are only three points behind us, if we aren't out of the race then I don't really see how they aren't either. Realistically it's Chelsea's title, sadly

The free kick which was dubious was taken nowhere near where the "Foul" happened, nearer the goal than it should have been, fair point I think.
Think City will leap frog us. Jesus coming in might be a little too late for them but seems to have invigorated the team.
Think Chelsea will stutter but the gap is too big now. A near perfect finish from any of the chasing sides might push them close but even then I think Chelsea will have enough now.
Feel city will be the ones to push them but want us to keep looking up rather than down and let's see what happens.

I think you're judging Jesus a little too early on. I've seen players i.e. Martial make a huge impact then fade.
Always thought we wouldn't get top 4 abd still think we'll struggle now.

if Jesus had the kind of impact Martial did then he will definitely contribute a lot this season. Bizarre comparison.

what a numptie you are saaan. No free kick is ever taken from exactly the right spot (except penalties), no throw in is taken from the exact right spot. Whinger I think.
You want to call out CIty's goal but say nowt about the offside for Swansea's goal?
Unfair to call me a numptie seeing as it was about 15 yards away.
Nah it was a fair comment
We'll lose at Klanfield, Pool will raise their game against us, we are one of their cup finals these days, they are also due a win and it's a bogey ground for Spurs. I can see them winning 2-0, with Gifted Penalty on the score sheet.

United are being dragged up the league by referees, they are enjoying endless offside goals and escaping red cards every other game, despite what Maurinho will have people believe, key game changing decisions are going their way with alarming regularity.

Unfortunately their wobble would have come after we smashed them at WHL if they played anyone else but that shambles of a team Leicester
I remember watching the game, Chelsea looked poor and were being dominated by Leicester but then they got a goal from nothing (how many times have they done that this season ) and then the Leicester players heads dropped.
I think if they were going to have a wobble it was then after Spurs put doubts in their minds, they've now come through that and the huge test of Liverpool and Arsenal which they have also come through with flying colours. Can't see them dropping points now or not enough to lose the title.
