Gary Neville versus Arsenal fans

Whatever the truth, Arsenal fans are by far the worst in the league. Can anyone else a remember a set of supporters getting angry at a pundit for defending their own manager? If Wenger goes, unless the new guy gets immediate success I predict a big section of Arsenal fans will very quickly turn on a new manager. They are just such clowns it's unreal.

----------

I have long said it...... each arsenal fan you meet is an even bigger idiot / even more clueless than the last one. I know a handful of arsenal fans who actually know what they are on about, and those of them who want wenger out realise that there are ways to go about things.,

crybaby fan base, and a set of massive mugs.

its funny though

Sorry spurtle, meant to tap reply.

Wenger won two FA Cups quite recently. In answer to your question, if Poch consistently got top 4 and occasionally won the FA Cup he would be allowed to stay for as long he wanted. I think we are more realistic than Arsenal fans.

Groovy is embarrassed but his own base and trying to change the subject.

Can't take Neville seriously, in that game he was slating the tactics and approach by Arsenal over the last few years, yet questioned Arsenal fans who want the manager out. What is that about?

Comparisons to Utd and Liverpool are stupid, so we should be happy because we are ahead of teams in 5th and 6th? Good logic.

Most Arsenal fans are unhappy because zero progress has been made on the pitch for a decade, the last 3 or 4 years especially have hit hard as the manager's brought in big name players yet we're still going nowhere. Wenger never learns from mistakes that have been made year after year after year.
Don't really know why I bothered writing that as most Spurs fans have literally no clue.

Wenger isnt to blame.

This is what happens when you have a chairman who would rather spend 725 million on a 535,00 acre estate rather than invest in the club.

Yes Wenger makes mistakes but he is constantly up there.
you can only piiiss with the ones youve got.

jar jar gutted

I guess it's easy to say that now. Dare say that in nearly a decade's time of not being successful, there'd be a split among fans about whether Poch was doing enough.

So we should be comparing ourselves with Spurs who are a smaller club with a tiny budget in comparison to us? No thanks.

I get the Wenger criticism but comparisons with other clubs are not pointless

As Neville pointed out, even this season Arsenal have been better than Liverpool and United. Not by a lot but just about. If Wenger is having a shocking season then surely Jose and Klopp are too?

Arsenal fans are such spoilt kids it's untrue.

Liverpool and Utd have underachieved for a few seasons now, does this mean Arsenal should be happy to do that too? By that logic Spurs should just be happy to finish above Liverpool each season.

Ok but you are comparing yourselves to City and Chelsea, who have vastly more resources. United too I would say. It's like Arsenal fans haven't moved on in two decades. They haven't yet realised that with exception of last seasons madness, the winners of the Premiership in recent years and been the top three richest clubs over and over again. It's like they think it's a coincidence or something?

Why does their tinpot club have a right to break the mould and expect to win the Premiership title just because they did a couple of times before? You aren't special. Like everyone else, you are fighting for the scraps the three richest clubs occasionally miss out on.

Big point here is the extent to which Arsenal are actually underachieving. You really think a new manager will lead you to success over City and Chelsea? Well maybe, maybe not. I still remember when lots of you mugs wanted Laudrop in.

Chelsea don't need revenue. Their wage bill, highest in the league, is because of the sugar daddy, as you well know. Point is that Arsenals spending needs to have some relationship with revenue. Maybe they can spend more, but outspend Chelsea and City? Ballocks.

Not necessarily, but a better chance of doing so than under the current one which at the moment is zero, zilch, nada. I'm fed up of rolling over and bottling it in the same way year after year, just like you were probably fed up when Spurs used to get battered by all the big boys every year.
