What striker?

It does feel like Poch doesn't rate him to be honest.

For me, we need to go big with a striker that will not sit on the bench but want to play and be better than Kane.

By the way, aside from that, I'd 100% have Andy Carroll who I believe is massively underrated.

Andy Carroll wouldn't fit in our system no way.
Too injury prone anyway.

We need a pacy CF and I'd love us to sign moussa dembele from Celtic.

Andy Carroll would give us a plan B. With our fullbacks I believe he would be superb.

I'd go for wilfried bony If City want to sale , hopefully Poch giving him an ear bashing and stating that his not showing enough gives him a kick up the pooop shoot , and we see a different player next time he gets a chance.

Bony has been awful for Stoke. He's also a lazy player. Definitely don't want him.

Realistically, no way are we going to get a player anywhere near Kane's level nor should we. Imo we need a young pacy striker which gives us an option and could on occasion play with Kane. I have no idea who that is though

Would we be able to get Rashford?

I really don't know how high we can aim as far as a striker. Would we for example be able to get Lukaku, Lacazette, maybe even Higuain or Benzema? If so then spend a bit of cash and go for them.

Otherwise consider some 2nd/3rd choice cheaper options like:

Long
Carroll
Vardy
Rodriguez

Shane Long?

Absolutely no way to Bony. He's been terrible for a couple of years.

Andy Carroll for sure, great player, but realistically probably wouldn't suit us

Ciro Immobile could be worth a shout. Good player and scoring well for Lazio.

Lukaku would be dreamland but likely to be 50 - 60m.

Hoping our scouts pull their fingers out...

Spurtle - Higuan cost Juventus £80m!!!! We'd have absolutely no chance sadly.

Dwight Gayle?

No chance of Higuan but Lacazette is a little more realistic as he plays for Lyon.

Was it really that much? You'd think at his age he'd be a bit more affordable but I concede that it is unlikely we'd be able to get someone like him. At least you know you'd be paying for quality.

A few other suggestions:

Hernandez
Dzeko
Falcao

All in good form for their clubs and with PL experience. Could be good options to have in the squad. I know Falcao was bad when he was here but might have been down to him still rusty due to that long injury.

I'd add Defoe to the 2nd/3rd choice list too of course.

Andrea Belotti of Torino looks a good player. Twenty three years old and scoring for fun in an Italian mid table team. Funnily enough he plays a bit like Jansen but is quicker and more direct. A sort of Jansen upgrade. Think he would suit our style and could play with Kane or as a lone striker when needed. As to whether he would be available or want to leave Italy, no idea.

Jermain Defoe...

Just looked & Kanes got 19 goals in all comps for us despite playing pretty poorly majority of the season.

Don't forget he also missed over a month too

Bake em away toys

Why would United sell a top young player to a top four rival ?

Henge, Kane is outstanding. I don't think many can disagree there.

I love Javier Hernandez as a striker and always have done. Got a lot of stick on here for suggesting him before his move to Leverkusen and he has been superb there.
