Australia have been whitewashed in UAE and Sri Lanka. They can't play spin so expect no change.
Have to agree with Kash - can;t see anything but an India win. Its not just Australia struggling in these conditions, but also the fact India look un-stoppable at home.
Depends on the pitches India product, against england i would hardly call them rank turners. yes they spun but that was around days 4-5. Aus also have Starc and co who imo are better fast bowlers than the england boys in conditions that dont do much simply because they have pace to cause problems.
It is definitely depends on the Indian pitches . The fight with Australian players will not easy for India
3-0 india.... we will sure why we are the best again. Aus and england are indias onderpants
Pog how many accounts do you need?
Just another couple I reckon
Just looking at the action of Jayant Yadav, blimey how questionable is that??.
When they need a wicket both his and Ashwin action changes.
Kash & Liverpoolwhoelse. My fellow Liverpool fans, hows things?
Great day for India so far, with 10 overs left we may see a couple of more wickets.
Not sure who won that day. Pitch seems to be a rank turner from day one.
We'll need to wait for India to bat on it tomorrow to have any real indication if its a good score.
I'd hazard a guess and say it was India's day. I think most fans would have taken that score at the end of day 1.
The jokers are out in force again
Not one of the batsmen lost their wicket due to the ball turning square. Granted the pitch is very dry on day one but this is India - the curators have obviously been told to trial Australia by spin. In fact Jayant was relatively poor today and the most impressive bowler was Umesh who picked up 4 scalps. Starcs 50 really hurt us because they should have been 220 all out but instead we still have to get another wicket tomorrow and they're sitting pretty at 256 on an unpredictable surface. Batsmen have it all to do tomorrow.

Cricket unintelligence from Kav here.
When the ball is turning so much it is not the balls that turn that get the batsman but instead the ball that doesnt turn. Jadeja has made a career out of this.
Yet you're the one complaining the pitch is a rank turner? Contradiction at it's finest.
I'm only going by what Shane Warne said. He might know a thing or two about pitches
This is Pune not Perth. What did you and Warne expect from an Indian pitch? We produced rank turners against SA in the knowledge they would be exposed and it worked a treat. Likewise they're hoping to do the same against this inexperienced Aussie line up. It doesn't take a PhD to work this out.
Against England the pitches were very friendly - in fact too much to England. We have two of the best spinners in the world in home conditions and it's bloody right we use them.
India's problem of not being able to get the tail out resurfacing. Starc's knock could turn out to be crucial. Obviously difficult to say what is a good score on this pitch but there is no way we can let a tailender score 50+.
Had them by the balls at 200 ish for 9. The new ball shouldn't really have been taken - Umesh was getting the old ball moving enough. Another 20-30 runs tomorrow and it will get very tricky for us. Lets hope they clean up Starc or Hazlewood straight away.
Australia have had it way too easy playing in those roads of Australia. Just a bit more help for spinners and smith could barely make a move on the score. India will have to do the hard work and bat well. If India still win after losing the toss, we will atleast stop hearing the same excuses of bat first and win the game
Well well - we haven't had a collapse like this at home in years. Guess we were due one. Shocking batting really.
Wow...got whooped this morning.
This is a good indication that we have been playing a lot matches on roads. Kohli, Rahul and our middle order played some very poor shots. Rahul needs to be dropped, he is either always getting injured or playing shots that he should never be playing. He is going to be a walking wicket in overseas conditions
Rahul top scores and you want him dropped
Fair point Viru but wrong timing - he played really well this morning. Got out to a poor shot but without his contribution we would have been 50 all out probably. This was a team failure - even on this wicket losing 6 or 7 wickets not sure which for 11 runs is pretty embarassing. A clear team failure - Sanjay Bangar talked of Australia applying themselves very well in yesterdays post match but what the hell were ours doing today? I said before this series started Australia would pose a far greater challenge than England simply because they have a brilliant captain and a fight England do not possess. We have to bounce back in the next test because this one is going to be lost by a huge margin.
