Leicester might have gone down with Claudio. Once again, it demonstrates how the owners will feel they were correct.

Conversely, it also shows how those players would have gotten themselves relegated due a lack of motivation. However you cut it the situation is pretty embarrassing for them now.

Absolutely no way that team is going down if they replicate that performance a few more times.

Well i'm chuffed as we were going going down with CR

If the argument is that they players haven't been trying hard enough because they didn't want to perform for Ranieri, they must have made that decision at some point in pre-season because they'd been pretty craap , pretty much most of the time since Hull away.

why do you assume that lack of results for LCFC means lack of motivation. Tactics are the the problem with LCFC and fans know that. People keep going on about CR on a sentimental level. Yeah we get it.

So yea, you can applaud the board for making the right call but be in absolutely no doubt it was the players that forced the boards hand. The owners couldn't sack all the players.

I get Leicester fans don't like hearing it, but it's pretty clear from tonight they weren't giving it their all for Ranieri. You can argue that Ranieri is to blame for losing the dressing room but it still looks unprofessional. At worse you could argue they tried to get him sacked and tonight was a celebration on their part.

It was his job to keep them motivated. Must becoming a massive club, as people keep banging on it

Totally agree, It was his job to keep them motivated and who was it was it who doesn't believe in sports psychology and so got shot of the main man, the sports psychologist, to help with motivation.

Lesta fans have become the worst fans in football and the club is currently the most hated in football.

They sit In a relegation battle and they have the delusion that they are there because of the lack of desire πŸ˜„πŸ˜„πŸ˜„. Liverpool were there for the taking, tactically it was set up for Lesta to win and what's more now they have got their way and got their genius title winning record breaking manager out of the club they put in a shift.

I still believe that you will lose more games than you win for the remainder of the season and what's more you will have the majority of football fans hoping you go down.

A lot of respect lost for the Foxes this week.

Losing their next 2 games? I wouldn't bet against it.

You really are boring and are another oppo fan who thinks they know about our club better than we do.

You don't watch us every week. You don't know how embarrassingly poor we've been. You don't know how many different formations and tactics we've played and how clueless the players have looked. You don't know what Ranieri has done behind the scenes to dismantle our extremely important internal faculties. You don't know the threats he's made to players about not seeing their families. You don't know how distant he has become with staff and players. Basically you don't know anything so please do us all a favour, do some research and stop spouting all this crap, it's really dull.

Thanks for your kind words Mike Drop.

We're really feeling the love from opposition fans and the media.

Shame on our owners for trying to protect the best interests of our club and their millions of pound investment. Shame on them.

Shame on the fans for remaining dignified, supporting the team whilst respecting Ranieri and all we achieved under him.

Shame on us for supporting our club. The club we have suppprted our whole lives despite limited/no success.

Feel free to hate us. It actually might help spur us on like last night.

But don't judge us. Not unless you actually understand what happened. You don't, because we don't, despite no lack of effort in trying!!

The ridiculous thing is it was the right choice, even before the game it was the right choice.

All oppo fans are doing is looking at what he achieved last season and think that's a licence for it being ok for him to take us down and we should accept that because we were lucky enough to win the league. I mean seriously, idiots!

I can certainly see both sides of the argument on the Ranieri debate and am personally a bit gutted that a guy who carried himself with such warmth, humour and dignity is no longer here. A few months ago nobody would have foreseen that it would come to this.

On balance, however, I think Ranieri might have an awful lot to be thankful to the players for. He came into the club last season and picked up a team that wasn't built by him, had great momentum from the previous season and played out of their skin for him.

Let's remember that CR has been at such clubs as Atletico Madrid, Juventus, Inter and Chelsea and never won a title. It was this bunch of journeyman players who did that for him in the most unexpected fashion imaginable.

Sacking Claudio feels a bit like kicking a puppy, but he's been at 15 clubs in the past 30 years. He knows the game and how it works, and it's probably made him a very wealthy man.

These players have not performed for him this season and the fall has been dramatic to witness. The same players also gave him his greatest ever moment as a manager last season. As fans we're all very sad to lose him, but we were there before Claudio and will also be there now he's gone. We're aware what CR did, but are also aware of what the previous manager, head of recruitment, owners, coaches and players did to get us the title last year.

We all have to say "Grazie Mille" and move on.

Mike didn't like us last season, so I certainly wasn't expecting him to warm to us this season....lol

What is the actual difference between us and Chelsea of last season in terms of management? It's pretty much identical really and yet you keep harping on about us being unreasonable. And i'm sure most LCFC fans have as much admiration for CR as CFC fans do of Mourinho

The difference is the size of club. Chelsea sacking Mourinho was very bad but because ranieri winning the title for Lester for such a bigger achievement it makes the decision worse. It's like Chelsea sacking Mourinho multiplied by ten thousand.

Do you think he should have been allowed to take us down then? If so that's just ridiculous.

The reality is that's what was going to happen. Last night wasn't about more effort, it was about better tactics. Ranieri tried to evolve us into a team we're not, Shakey just told them to do what won them the league and kept us up the season before.

posted on 28/2/17

Yes he should have been allowed to take you down.

Look do you think Lester city football club owes ranieri for what he did, yes or no? Being relegated to the championship isn't hell btw. Lester were fine in the championship for many years.

Also why was Pearson not fired when he had Lester at 20th at this stage? Ok, you say performances were better but the fact is that you had no way of knowing Lester would win 7 of their last 9 games and survive relegation. No one could predict that yet Pearson still kept his job even though there was a good chance of relegation.
