Isn't there just an option to turn off the airbags? Always has been in my cars for baby seats.
My next car will likely be a Tesla anyway.
He's saying it does automatically...
So is an automatic gearbox, but I FUCCKING love mine
That isn't as lazy as pressing a button though.
As I said I'll be going electric next, so auto too.

Not always for front seats.
Want it for my disabled lad so he can sit up front as airbags are dangerous for him

Doesn't have another option.
Suppose its a gimmick to buy a "special" car seat
Their sat nav is another weird one. They gave the screen but its a couple of hundred quid for basically a sim card to get the sat nav working.
I guess that's so they don't have to change the hardware for the dash...
Yeah they all seem to come with the Sat Nav dashboard screen these days, but not necessarily with Sat Nav available to use.
I much prefer having the Nav on the car, but it's often crap, nowhere near as good as a tomtom or google maps. Sooner cars integrate with google maps the better.
Cars are so expensive these days. Ridiculous.
Honda and Mercedes are all about integrating with Apple products.
Was looking at a CRV and guy kept saying "ic you have an iPhone...." Told him I didn't and had no intention of getting one but he kept repeating it anyway
Heard an advert on the radio the other day about the new Citroen C3, with facking built in cameras... there was one for a think the new Ka not long ago that reads your FB messages to you as you drive seriously fackoff.
no sorry mate, only BMW bits.
BMW's have some right gadgets shiiite on them.
Cameras, self parking, heat sensors for in the dark... crazy when i think my first car was an old beatle and i had to manually do the wipers with a handle
My old man was telling me on the weekend he had mechanical indicators
it had them to, you pushed a button and a green thing popped out the side.
wipers were a different story, you had to move this handle right to left, right to left right to left... you were fecked if it was piiiissing it down and you had to change gear
The only thing I can liken that to is the problem I had with the electric sunroof on my 96 Clio

Loved the old beetles. Mate had a black one with the engine out on the back and public enemy on the sides. Sounds cheesy but lovely car.
My ex director and her hubby a VW enthusiasts and she bought the new bug when it came out and it had a flower in the dashboard. Wtf?
Water used to get in the central locking receiver (just below the sunroof) which doesn't sound like too much a problem (just use the key to unlock) except the immobiliser wouldn't let you start the car if it was manually unlocked
Certain integrations are useful. Spotify and Google Maps being the obvious ones.
One really cool feature Vauhxall provide is if you crash, emergency services are called automatically.
Augmented reality screens would be great, I'm forever looking at my dashboard or speedometer instead of the road.
I think manufacturers need to improve the quality of the information screens tbh, they're still clunky and difficult to control, i.e you press a letter and it doesn't register.
I find certain tech really useful. Particularly bluetooth connectivity, parking sensors, sat nav, driving information, maintenance issues. I like that my car seat now has the option to change the posture of your back for example.

Or you plan to drive off after hitting somebody.
As that's happened to me, I think it's genius.
