It's a bit like people still laughing at maf for not knowing his left from his right, sometimes the old ones are the best

Confession time my brothers Father in law was one of Jimmy's best mates and sadly Jimmy couldn't attend his funeral recently so it's a bit closer to home for me....
I'm not normally a comedynazi

I don't mind a bit of humour, just think this could have been directed at it's target and not this particular article.

Different eras. Calm it.

Bull-sheite. They're still not in the same class. Let's not hide behind the era nonsense.

Lot of people who know more about the game than you would disagree

Lots of people who "apparently" know more about me than the game chat a lot of sheite on tv about football. It's still sheite even if it came from legends like Shearer or whoever.

Never got the chance to watch Jimmy play (way before my time) but his numbers alone show that he deserves to be mentioned with some of the other greats.

To act like its an insult to messi is disrespectful, almost disgustingly so

Yes. It's insulting. One is a 5-time Ballon D'Or winner. The other isn't.
What struck me was the guy in the article acting like Greaves is a Messi-like dribbler - maybe because he had one famous decent burst past 2 players and the keeper against Man U (with the ball bobbling off his shin along the way). You might compare George Best or Cruyff's style to Messi, but not facking Greaves ffs. Even Van Nistelrooy had some great dribbles.

I like it when all I have to do is read one single comment to realise that there is literally no point in arguing with somebody.
