It probaly is the future. Especially doesn't help that cinema prices are so fecking expensive. I only go to films now that will be worth seeing at the cinema, otherwise it's not worth the money. Plus a lot of people now have great TVs and sound systems. So the cinema experience isn't quite as special as it was in the past
Vive is by far the best, really tricks your brain... even with low resolution...
I have worked in vr for just over a year now and the progress is fast... its gonna be stunning in 5-10 years.
Also scary as hell.... the horror games and films will kill a few people... heart attack central
Yeah- re7, is meant to be horrid on ps4 in VR.
What do you do in VR Ji, if you don't mind me asking?

How much is a cinema ticket over there nowadays?
$13 here for an evening showing in 4K with fully reclining leather seats.
Pay another couple of $ for some sort of upgraded picture and sound quality.
Not too expensive.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
I work for a startup that converts architect's plans into vr showrooms so customers can look around a property before construction begins.
It's fairly basic at this stage... looks great, but you can only look around and go from room to room... but the next phase will allow architects, developers and buyers to start charning things within vr.. eg, move where the stairs are... change doors, design the kitchen... change the wall colours etc.
Gonna be cool
I've lost touch in the UK pricewise, but it's not a fortune here. I tend to avoid the multi screen bigboys, close to me there is a two screen family owned cinema, with a nice little cafe, waiting area with sofas, you can rent dvds too. It's around nine euros (seven quid at current exchange) and plenty busy.
Even when I went to see Mr Turner which was in English with French subtitles it was half full. I thought we lay be the only ones there !
Ji, hasn't that been around for a while ?

I got sent a walk through from an architect. That must've been VR now I've read that. Just thought it was clever design software, or maybe it was, but that sounds interesting Ji. Can you list a bit of the more advanced stuff to read?
In football news, whacked £10 on City winning 3-1
Cash out was 12.50 at 1-0 hudd
Then 1-1 was £15
2-1 City was £14
3-1 is six fckin quid

Developer, then? That sounds like a great idea. Imagine there could be a lot of demand for that sort of thing, especially if the software can be sold to the big corps. VR definately lends itself to that.

Prefer Amazon.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Tried Amazon TV on prime, it's garbabge.
Saying that's I usually subscribe to Netflix for 2 months a years and watch all there is to watch, then it becomes dull and repetitive.
Considering they have started to attract big stars who are willing to give exclusivity to their network it will only grow bigger.
However there will always be room for cinema, at least until VR becomes readily available.

While might fit 2 propel for less than £15.

Like the idea of going to the cinema and with big group of friends like 10 people plus. Can you really have 10 vr headsets and afford it? The social aspect is lost at home tbh. One of the reasons I go cinema is for experience with mates. It's also nice being with many people and adds to it! You can't replicate it.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You'd be better taking those 10 friends to the pub in my book.

Fair enough UTW, usually when myself and 10 others get together it's pretty much carnage in the pub, then wherever else seems a good idea.
But you make a good point about the cinema experience. The alternative would be Eveyone piling round yours to watch Netflix, so these coal experience of the cinema still stands.
It's got time yet, but technology is chipping away at everything, bit by bit.

Can't stand the cinemas around here. Hope they die off. Tired of hearing kids crying, fat fecks munching on popcorn or opening wrappers, sitting next to stinky mouth breathers, seeing a bright phone screen pop up and take me out of the film and hearing people applaud at the end of a film.
I don't understand why they even sell food. Drinks yes, but hot smelly fackin food shouldn't be there.
Why do they sell the pick & mix, and popocorn in fackin paper bags too, the nosiest possible way of containing the food. Even a cardboard bucket style (like in America) would be slightly less noisy.
Fat feckers should be able to go 2 hours without eating anyway
