He was probably trying to wake them up.

Head is already in Turin

I don't think a lot of the players get along with him

Wenger insulting fans intelligence by announcing he was dropped for tactical reasons. It was plain obvious something went on.

All jokes aside though, it must be frustrating when you are head and shoulders above everyone around you.

Gerrard had this for years with us. Looking back, I'm amazed he stayed with us for all of his competitive career.

He nearly left for Chelsea at one point, Igor.

Shame to see Wengers reign ending like this, the new manager will have a tough job after they lose their best player too.

That's what I mean. Taking the red glasses off, it's amazing he managed to get past the frustrations of, baring maybe 4 years, playing his entire career with shiite teams full of the likes of Riera, Traore, Konchesky and Poulsen.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that I don't really blame Sanchez for behaving the way he is. Carrying a team like that must wear you down after a while.

Swap for Lingard??

If Sanchez goes to PSG it's a waste imo, he should stay in England. Arsenal won't sell him though to a rival club.

ridiculous bobby, sanchez is an established international with over 100 caps for his national team.

a fairer swap would be with rooney or schweinsteiger, as a gesture of generosity arsene could have his pick.

The same thing happened to Henry, Vieira, Fabregas, RVP......Even Nasri and Song..they all quoted Wengers 'lack of ambition' as they left.
Wenger doesn't really like 'star' players,he thinks they upset the poor little charity cases like Iwobi et al.

I think Iwobi shows there is mileage in this.

If Wenger's claim of a tactical descision was right, it would've been Iwobi who made way for Giroud.

If you have a player like Sanchez, you shoehorn him in somewhere if he is fit.

Doubt it's true. If it was then he would be dropped from the squad all together.

What sort of punishment is benching someone then going at half time 'yea forget our fight please save us'

posted on 5/3/17

Also convenient that this so called news has broken days after the supposed incident

The sort of punishment you give when you want to prove you're in charge but not completely shiiite the bed by leaving him out altogether when you know that player can literally save you all on his own.

Punishment from a spineless manager.
As much as I detest Alexis attitude lately, I do get his frustrations. There no sense to Wenger,s selections, no structure to our play and no leadership on the pitch.

It's not a punishment though. You've seen it happen with the likes of Costa, Rooney, Yaya in the past. They get dropped from the squad all together. Not benched and be told they will certainly be involved at some stage of the match.

Wenger's decision was clearly a tactical one, showing how out of touch with the modern game he has become

The difference being all those players had other players in their teams who were close to if not quite on the same level.

The same can't be said for Sanchez.

It's the same reason Torres played for us in his last half season when his attitude was utter dogshiite. We had David Ngog as second choice.

Not many teams could boast about such a wealth of talent

That's BS. If you want to make a statement you drop a player from the squad, not to the bench, telling said player he will definitely feature at some stage.

Alexis is clearly unhappy and likely looking to be gone in the Summer so the papers are gonna come up with all sorts of BS to hook in more media junkies and act as if they are in the know.
