Oh what a shame for him, he hasn't had a shiny new contract offer to reward him for his patchy form and keeping the treatment table warm on a regular basis.

This reeks of agents exploiting the current situation at the club.

Whether Ox stays or goes, I suspect the club will offer him a new contract. In three months’ time he’ll be in the final twelve months of his contract, and I can’t see AFC wanting him to leave on a free transfer.

But seriously this club never learns, a few years back we had several important players allowed to get into the last year of their contracts and thus leaving us for well below their true value. 5-6 years later and the same is happening again, the club is incompetent on so many levels. Wenger is only 50% of the problem.

Least he has the ball to say he wants to leave unlike Alexis and Ozil.

Would've loved him at Spurs a couple of seasons ago. Not now though. As said earlier he needs to go to a West Ham/Everton/Soton and play weekly

Could go to Chelsea as Costa's replacement. Could go to Liverpool if they get top 4 and really push the boat out. Might come Utd as Zlatan / Rooney replacement.

Sanchez holds all the cards now. Would be hitting for arsenal fans seeing RVP mark II
----------------------------------------------------------------------
U got no chance mate if he did join a team in the premier league which he won't hed either to city or chelsea the other ain't good enough
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Utd aren't destined to come 6th every season. You are aware that next season things could all change ?

We may even finish season with CL football anyway. We have two chances.

If Sanchez tells Arsenal he wants to go to chelsea, city or united and he's prepared to wait a year and leave on a free then Arsenal will take the cash. You can't let players get down to 1 year.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
But why would he want to join a team who just hopes to finish in the top 4 when he can join the premier league champions?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Joined Arsenal didn't he
----------------------------------------------------------------------
But arsenal are better than utd

The fact players want to leave Arsenal would be the worry for me. Here you have a young English talent who could be coached into being a very effective player. Look at the way Poch has improved players like Kane, Alli and Rose for example. And look at the way the club have tied these players down to long term contracts. Arsenal are a mess on and off the pitch at the moment, very unlike them really. Wenger not saying either way what he's gonna do really isn't helping, he needs to commit or announce his retirement, at the moment the club is in limbo with no long term vision.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
For the first time I think wenger is actually leaving cos there's no way I can see him staying the way things are going cos if u think about it the fans hate him plus the players don't seem to trust him anymore and are not playing for him which is strange because he's good to them no matter how sh!t they are, I'll be very very suprised if he stays.

If the manager was talking about it, it must be true. Sadly we havent actually heard that Alexis and Ozil want to leave from the Manager.

AW was responding to a question from the press; does he want Ox to stay. He said yes.

Inconceivable that Ox is content to play a bit part but this story has all the hallmarks of an agent wanting to strengthen their client’s negotiating position.

Wenger never says players want to leave he keeps quiet for them then they leave in peace.

Yes. But I suspect his decision is also dependant of whether Wenger thinks Wilshere is the heir apparent to Santi or not.

Agree, although JW has put in some great performances for Bournemouth, not sure he is a long term solution.

I think a lot of players are waiting to find out what happens with AW before making a decision on their own futures.

Until AW’s departure/future is sorted, I don’t think it would be advisable ‘pushing’ anyone out the door.

As seen time and again, a different manager, has given underperforming players a new lease of life.

Everyone's looking at his post-match body language in recent games, and making their own pedestrian conclusions.

He actually came to tears after acknowledging the fans at the Bayern game.

Well.....that, and the fact that none of the British lads seem to be renewing their contracts.

--------------------------------

They are in demand, young and quite good players in a small market. I am sure they will wait on Wenger and/or his successor.

The ones who have renewed are either not wanted by other clubs, overpaid or old. Coq, Giroud, Kos, Mertesacker. Says everything.

I'd hate to be the one handling contract negotiations at the club just before a World Cup.

I can imagine quite a few of the English lads raising a stink when it comes to assurances of playing time.

No one complains if the team is winning. And it makes sense cause they start to question why they aren't being selected when the team is losing a change is necessary. The British lads at Arsenal are more level headed anyway. Just look at the game against Liverpool. Walcott always scores against the bigger teams and he is particularly a thorn against Liverpool and Chelsea. But he wasn't selected. Unlike Alexis he hasn't thrown his toys out of his pram.

Walcott knows hes stealing a living at arsenal with his £140k per week wage.

shocking when you find out the likes of Kane, Alderwerald, Lloris, Vertonghen ect are all on way less than him (Not even hitting the 100k)

I remember OX liking a tweet recently saying "Wenger out", which the club immediately came out stating this was a mistake. I also remember during the first Munich match at one point the frustration flooding out of him. So Its clear to me that theres massive discontent in the squad and with Wengers management. I think the OX is feeling like the majority of fans...
Quality player, i for one would be gutted if he were to leave the club.

posted on 9/3/17

Comparing Arsenal’s wages with Spurs isn’t really a fair comparison. Basically because Arsenal have been in the CL for 19 odd continuous years.

Arsenal players will therefore command higher wages.

Each and every contract Walcott has negotiated, Arsenal have been in the CL. The same cannot be said with any Spurs player, regardless of ability.

WWSTD you can't defend some of the wages our players are earning, CL or not.
