Hard to tell from a few sub appearances. A few Spurs fans are extremely quick to try and hype him up into something....

Think he'll end up being a good player. The potential is there and looks to have the attitude to go with it.

Tbh if he was playing in the Belgium or French league most people would be raving about him.

He's just a πŸ’© jack Wiltshire with half the ability of the current Bournemouth version

Neat and tidy but no real strengths

Poch though loves him and plays him whenever he gets a chance so maybe I've missed his stand out performances

Maybe unlike Wilshere he doesn't have all the off field baggage and is a hard worker. Could be why Poch rates him.

What does this even mean? You say it like the guy has done something which has been overlooked.

Always kept an eye out for him when he was in our youth set up. So composed on the ball but you always wondered if his lack of size and physique would hold him back.
He has really developed physically in the last year and he never hides from a tackle now.

I don't know why some on here are still thinking he should go out on loan?? He is involved in every match day squad now and is trusted by Poch often getting minutes above more established names and trusted to come on to help close out games.

Next season Winks will share a lot more playing time with Dembele and I predict will start at least 15 games next season.

Ah our resident Arsenal fan back here again

He was exceptional in our youth team and when he come on he's done very well.

Was excellent in our win against West Ham in his first league start for us and was brave enough to pick out Alli last weekend when most would of played the ball to the corner.

I expect you to come back and tell me how you no more though

Winks will have a better career than Wilshere because he isn't a jumped up arrogant Pr@^k.

Yep although mostly Arsenal fault for ruining him.

Just have to look this season pretty much played most of it now he's away from them.

Bad player management, Bad injury prevention management.

Shame for us as a international team as he is the most technically best player we've had for years

Yes got to admit when Wilshere first broke on to the scene at Arsenal I really thought he could be world class.

I honestly feel young talent at Arsenal is never allowed to flourish properly unless your French.

This is how we find the next Kane and Winks -

A diligent player who buys in to the coach's methods can go as far as he wants.

Centre midfield is a vital position, but not something that need the edge other positions do. We have ying players who can do the exceptional, so a yang player who can be the unfussy glue in the mix is fine by me.

Resident fan. This is like the 3rd article I've commented on here this year, you mug.

I haven't argued whether he was excellent in your youth team or not. My brief research into his youth career doesn't suggest "excellence" (except the word is frequently used by you to the point of being rendered useless), but that was hardly my point. The post I quoted preposterously claimed people would be "raving about him" if he played in the French league (as if the French league is lacking in bright talents), and I'm wondering what exactly he has ever done or accomplished to justify such a claim.
He's probably a talented lad (personally think he's at absolute best, a Joe Allen level talent), but some of you are in a ridiculous rush to make him out to be what he's not.

No one I can see has said anything but he's a young kid with lots of potential

Yeah....other than claiming he's been "exceptional" for you in his appearances this season which is blatant rubbish. I've seen close to a dozen games he's played and other than a few good performances (certainly nothing "exceptional", he's been mostly mediocre.

No I said he was EXCELLENT IN ONE GAME against West Ham

Rest of the times he's had good cameos when coming on.

Jeans had more ability than Winks but never hit his potential, just have to wait and see
