Nope, Wenger is staying on for another couple of years. This is my admiration for football dead
So in 3 comments we have Wenger leaving, Wenger staying on for 1 year and Wenger staying for 2 years
The media is just guessing.
It's all paper speculation. Doesn't seem much in it
I said earlier i feel he will stay on another thread. I can't believe people seriously think he's gna leave an unbelievable salary behind , with very little pressure from the board.
Yeah, no one ever walks away from high pressured but big paying jobs when the going gets tough....
He is a multi millionaire, another 8m won't be at the top of his agenda.
I think the way this will play out is Wenger will get 1 more year contract with the anouncement he will leave the club after that. That year will be seen as a transitional year to the next manager. Its the most logical compromise under the situation.
Tuchel doesn't even have a honours section on wikipedia
He's staying from what the English media are saying. Reports look strong. Petit made a good point about the fact if he was leaving he'd have said so

Wow who would have guessed you would be commenting on an Arsenal thread with irrelevant drivel?
Obsessed .
You telling me it's not a huge incentive for him to stay. A top , arguably the highest salary in Europe , with no high ambitions expected from the board.
Things could get quite ugly. All the reliable sources saying he's gonna stay.
Nothing's gna get ugly, heard they are going to hire someone to parachute in with Wenger out! No contract written on him.
the manager has to be paid more than the players, if he was really after the money he'd dish out these apparent 300k contracts for ozil and sanchez
We need a high profile manager or we could be in trouble.
tu meke
What is his incentive to stay then?. We are looking like missing out on top 4, dropping into the europa league. It looks like the players have given up and are tactically clueless. We have a big chance of losing one or two of our star players, a squad that has a fair bit of deadwood that needs removing. Top players established players and top young stars that are out there and won't look twice at us now.
Self belief and the desire to prove his critics wrong.
Lol, ok. Cause he's doing a great job of that already.
Thats where the self belief comes in...
The guy doesn't give a damn about his critics, he's a business man. He's appeasing kronke and the rest of the rich cronies who have no interest in our great club progressing.
I think Wenger is more likely to stay if we do indeed drop out of the top 4. His legacy has taken a big hit in the past few years and I think that would really cement his fall from grace.
If he does look like getting top 4 towards the end of April, and beat City in the semi final, I suspect he'll confirm to the board he wants to go. Would be a nice way for him to bow out, if 2 or 3 years too late

How does that work?
You call him the highest paid manager around - hardly good for profit.
We have the third highest net spend over the last five years. Again, hardly the business model of someone only out to make money for the owners.
Missing out on CL would cause another hit.
Fans turning their back would also hit the profits.
Winning things also makes a club more marketable.
So how does all this equate to Wenger appeasing cash hungry owners?
If he was staying as manager, wouldn't he have already signed the contract thats been on the table for a while?
This has become a personal challenge for Wenger, i doubt he will walk away. I remember that interview where he said this will take him to the next level. IMO thats his self belief and desire to prove people wrong.
What's his salary got to do with profit the club makes, we are one of the highest grossing clubs in the world. How would giving him 8 mill a yr affect our profits. The money we make from finishing top 4, Champions league revenue, premier league revenue.
