This is the quote:
Science is about proof. Therefore atheists are on solid ground.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yep that's the quote now substantiate it
Not interested in the rest
What's science got to do with atheism?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Atheism is lack of belief in a supreme God. No scientific evidence has been produced to support the notion of a God. So I trust in science to answer the great questions of the Universe. The Universe as we know it doesn't need a God to operate. But for thousands of years religious people have accepted the idea of a supreme being but have not produced any evidence.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Science does no such thing
Unless you can prove that science supports atheism with proof
I await the proof
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You are asking me to prove something doesn't exist. But you are the one claiming something exists not me. Where is your evidence? Where is the science?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
i am asking or claiming no such thing
You keep bringing God into it not me
All i want to know is this link between science and atheism
you have failed to provide it
----------------------------------------------------------------------
There is no scientific evidence for a God. That is the link. Simple.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
again with God?
Its ok if you dont know and cant back up your claim. I am used to it from your type of atheist
ah well

I have done no such thing
you made a claim and i ask you to substantiate it and unable to do so you keep bringing up God
didnt think you could

Science doesn't make a claim for a God. Can you show me papers supporting the theory of God? I am am on science's side in that it doesn't support the idea of a supreme being. How many times are you going to ask me to substantiate something I have repeatedly explained.

Again with God.

Think you are wasting time here repeatedly asking me the same question that I have answered time and again. Science supports the notion that there is no God in as much the Universe, as we understand it, doesn't need a God.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Again with God? You are obsessed
You can't answer the question say so.
And yes I realise I am wasting my time as I know you can't substantiate your claim.

There's plenty of space for God in the world of science. He's lives inbetween the Quarks and beyond the furtherest stars. So many people cite science as the basis for there being no God, yet these same people rely on nothing more than a book to prove their faith in science - few of them have ever seen a molecule, let alone an atom, yet they choose to believe what someone else has seen and written down in a book. Which is fine, no problem for me - yet they choose to mock others who believe in a God, believers of which also rely on no other proof than words written down in a book by others.
Not quite sure what people get out of mocking others for their beliefs, I can only assume it makes them feel better about their own ignorance. Calm down, there's nothing wrong with ignorance, you were never meant to understand everything and you never will, life isn't about that really.
Science will never, ever, provide all the answers. Fact. And frankly that's the best part of the whole thing.

Nice and blinkered there. You seem to be missing all the mockery from both sides. I think you're just one of those people who have jumped aboard the PC bus, desperate to be seen to be saying the right thing.
And it's not just a book that backs up the science theory, in the same way religious texts do, is it?
I'm not desperate for anyone to see me as anything. I can genuinely see both sides, and have no desire to mock either side of an argument that has no absolute answer - I'm just offering up my opinion. My observation wasn't intended to be from one side - all I said was "Not quite sure what people get out of mocking others for their beliefs". That counts "both" ways.
If it helps I can add religion will never, ever, provide all the answers either. And, afaik, it doesn't claim to.
