So greedy.

And has no vision.

Very underwhelmed every time I watch him

Seems to be a flat track bully.

Would score plenty for you but in the big games wouldn't deliver like Costa does.

Yeah just a poor footballer. Was woeful tonight. Wouldn't even say he's quick. Can never beat a man.

People suddenly calling him rubbish after this game?

He had a poor game but overreaction much?

He was very poor. Wonder if he was deliberately being lazy/poor, seeing that no club is showing interest, probably because of the unrealistic valuation Everton put on his head, maybe, they will drop their asking and he finally gets his move away this summer. It may sound crazy but ............

Must've just had a bad move. I agree we could do better but the articles quite harsh, I can think of several strikers I'd be more disappointed with than him.

He's got just under a 1 in 2 goal ratio playing eight seasons (one of which he made less than 10 apps), six of those seasons in the PL at 23 y/o. The numbers don't lie. That's a good striker

To be fair to him, he's only 23 and still learning. He's had a great season and Everton are where they are pretty much down to his goals.

He hasn't been great vs the bigger clubs but that's because are on the defensive throughout. Think he'd be good at Chelsea given the chance to play without better players, i.e Hazard, Pedro and Cesc etc

What? Where's this come from.. today is just another reason why I don't want him back!

He scores goals against shlt teams and he's world class but when he needs to stand up and prove that he deserves to go back to a big team he flops.... every

Single

Time

He always seems to polarise opinion, some think he's the next coming of Pele, others think he makes Trevor Ayllot look like Pele!

In truth neither opinions are true and he's some where in the middle.

I thought we bent Everton when we got £28m for him, which I'd say is roughly £10m overpriced - and why I don't want to see him come back at what Everton would want!

Anyone who has watched Lukaku extensively and not just one match in isolation knows/could tell you far from required level to lead our line as first choice.
Admittedly has improved but never to that extent...

Pointing towards his goalscoring as a reason to claim good enough, is stats without context.
Lukaku is a classic case and epitome of stats without context.

When you score the amount of goals he has in the league he plays in at the age he is they take center stage. Probably due to his being around for so long, but people don't seem to fully respect how young he is, been a 15-20 goals a season striker since he was 16 y/o.

We could do better (and should aim higher) than Lukaku, but we could certainly do worse.

For upwards of (potentially) 60m I want better than what Lukaku produces in overall play.

It's amazing how footballers, despite how young they are, and naive they may seem, know exactly what to say/do in regards to a move away. Lukaku has been plotting his next move away since he moved to Everton.

From his point of view, you can't really blame him. Self preservation. No one else will look out for him. From a fans point of view, you just never know how long someone will stay despite penning a long term contract.

I don't want Lukaku back especially at the prices being bandied about. Flat track bully for me.

Well Lukaku still has done nothing on the international stage or at CL level. Would rather have players who are used to playing at the top level like Morata.

My main issue is...he can't control a football! 2 touch max player

What I've seen of Morata doesn't exactly fill me with confidence either!

Wow Lukaku getting slaughtered after one poor game. Let's not forget that Lukaku is the top scorer in the PL this season with a very good 21 goals and 6 assists already and he is the most accurate striker as well with 64% of shots on target:
