Its not just the young players. The experienced ones aren't exactly playing with much confidence either.
Mourinho is the worst thing to happen to Manchester United, he is not a suitable Manchester United manager.

Unless we win at the weekend, then we have come a long way since Van Gaal.
Last season a load of united fans told me they wouldn't swap Martial for any player in the league Any player.
The players looked like they were not playing for him last night. It looked the same as the Chelsea team when the squad turned on him.
Since Porto he has always bought short term success.
If I were the board I wouldn't be offering him the huge war chest in summer. I would cut losses and get a manager in who thinks about the club and not himself.
Look what he did for us in his short return sold our promising stars like Lukaku and KDB. Both I am sure would of had good game time under Conte. With the likes of Costa and Hazard looking to move it would be handy to have them still in our squad.

from the fanbase who have variously claimed that ojo>ibe>sterling.
anyway, last season, it wasn't that idiotic a claim, for a 20 year old to come in and play as he did was extremely impressive. no one said he was the best player in the league, but taking into account age, ability, potential for improvement etc it wasn't that silly.
based on this season, you could, perhaps, argue that it was a bit overenthusiastic...but i know you're not one to mock the giddiness of opposition fans rashy.

There is one common thing behind the failure of Chelsea last season and United this season, THE PLAYERS! It is not the manager’s job to ensure the players perform on the pitch. The players need to take responsibility and hopefully we do the right thing and get rid of the players and not the manager. We do not want to make the same mistake Chelsea made. Look at them now, losing at home to Palace!!!1

oh it did happen, i can vouch for that! i may have even joined in myself, though slightly tempered it by referring to kane and alli, ie other very good youngsters.
bit harsh though to lump all these youngsters in together, what is happening to shaw for instance is what has happened throughout his united/entire careeer, ie he's not very good, and his manager is questioning his attitude.
rashford is playing his first full season, and (rightly) is having to watch a legendary striker be first choice ahead of him. is he being "ruined" by playing out wide? no. is he good enough to play out wide? not at the moment.
martial has clearly gone backwards, and i would love to have seen more of TFM, but i wouldn't use all 4 as a stick to beat jose with.

Minutes on the pitch does more for a young player than anything, Kenny played Henderson on the right for 30 games, he was pretty poor for most of it but even he says himself it helped him develop.
Jose has more glaring issues to resolve right now than playing a few young lads.

Absolutely correct.
Rashford and Martial have had plenty of minutes this season, and it will have benefitted their games. That doesn't always translate to an immediate improvement in performances, of course, particularly for attacking players; but they will be learning all the time.
I think if polled, most United fans would be happy with the amount of game time Rashford and Martial have had. TFM and Tuanzebe's minutes on the pitch are another matter.

Rashford does appear to be putting in the effort and getting the chances, he just can't seem to finish them off. Dele, for as good as he's been this season, isn't always the best finisher either.
Mourinho may not be the same judge of character he used to be but with United being unbeaten for so long I don't know if I'd say the players aren't playing for him. Better finishing and they'd comfortably be in the top 4, because they do create a lot of chances.
I would love if we bought fosu mensah in the summer.
Never happen in a million years but he'd be brilliant for us.

Fergie wouldn't accept those first 2 trophies, he would be fuming with 5th/6th place in the league. Jose seems happy with 6th.
