We need more strength in depth to handle 4 competitions.
In: Zaha, Barkley,Tielmens, Michael Keane and a pacey striker
Out: Wimmer, Sissoko, Bentaleb, Fazio, Njie, Onomah (loan)
Dembele wins it back in midfield, and plays it out wide to Dembele. Dembele races forward and crosses it in for Dembele who slots it in!
I think you would be over-Dembele'd if your wish came true.
Ccv and kwp coming through ? They have barely had a kick tbh !
We need another quality CM option for sure.
CM*, LB/WB, ST are priority for me
* ( CM that can play AM i.e. Creative )
We need a quality striker as I still don't think Janssen is good enough. We need a quality central midfielder and possibility of a decent winger if Lamela goes.
Don't mean to be pedantic but where's this evidence of Barkley having a strong friendship with Dele and Dier? Or are you speculating they can forge one?
CCV and KWP coming through slower than the eclipse, they never play.
Ousmane Dembele is far better than decent!

I wanted to supersize my dembele, maybe they could join together to make a mega dembele. A sort of power rangers transformers thing

I also have some inside info on this

There training with the first team. Marcus Edwards too, they will be big players given time and training
CF and LWB are priority signings for me, both with pace.
Ive a feeling Wimmer will be allowed to move on in the summer and id like Maguire from Hull. Dier could then alternate between playing CB and DM.
Finally if Lamela goes, then id love Barkley at the club but I'm hoping Lamela stays.
I think Dier would get frustrated at constantly changing positions tbh. I think he wants to be a DM but wanyama is better

Toby will have 3 seasons left on his contract in summer so we need to get that extension done by Jan so we are covered.
Barkley, Zaha and Dembele would be a quality window.

Oh and Sessegnon
Barkley is perfect.
Premiership experience with further potential. We need another player in this mould due to issues with Lamela.
One club is going to pay at least 20 million for Sissoko or he'll be involved in a player exchange.
On strikers, we don't need to necessarily do anything too risky or expansive. If you are looking for reasonable cover for Kane - Shane Long. I fear the Dembele boat has passed.
I have said this before but I will again, but think we we will be keep both of the centre backs this summer window. In that sense I would be happy to keep swimmer around as a decent squad player.
The article is fundamentally right though, the main challenge is keeping the players we want to stay.

Youre right Victor, as it stands we don't need Barkley. We would only need another attacking midfielder if Lamela left in the summer.

Does that mean we shouldn't sign a striker as Kane plays or a CM because Dembele & Waynama are first choice?

It`s about having a squad capable of competing in 4 competitions, Poch has previously stated that players are signed to train and then earn a place in the team.
There is no point saying that any new additions will not get into our first team, it does not work like that, it is about competition for places and quality replacements in the event of injuries and suspensions.
No player should be guaranteed a starting place regardless, competition for their place will keep them on their toes and performing.
We should not be put off signing players because on the face of it they would not get in our first XI.
Winks would not get in our first XI. Or Lamela and Son. If fit though, all would have played a big part in keeping us competitive in all competitions. The key is being able to change players with fatigue/injuries/form and to negate the impact on the side.
If you offered me another good centreback, another good leftback and someone who could operate in centre-midfield as well as in the 3/2 (depending on formation) behind Kane I would take that.
If those players were Maguire, Shaw and Barkley I would not be disappointed.
Centreback and centre midfield is a particular weak point for me at present. Beneath the surface I mean.
Dier..............Toby..............Jan
.....Wanayama...XXXXX
Assuming we are going with a three as standard, that is quality. Almost perfect for the system.
What happens when one is out is where the problems start.
Toby: Wimmer plays centrally
Jan: Wimmer plays left
Dier: CCV comes in. Or Toby gets shifted across with Wimmer playing centrally
Wanyama: Dier moves to midfield, either change system or more shifting (see above)
Another good centreback, one who could slot in at RCB, or sit in the middle, would be ideal for me.
With another leftback we could also concentrate on using Davies as another option in the three at the back, and probably sell Wimmer.
Suddenly those options look much better if one is out:
Toby: New man plays centrally.
Jan: Davies goes left
Dier: New man plays right
Wanyama: Dier plays in midfield, new man plays right
