Seems quite a hike that, what have they said their reasons are when announcing it?
Weird time to do it after a poor trophyless season and where you might not get top 4
I'm not sure how any ManC fan can complain about the price of their season tickets. With the amount the club has spent on talent, they've obviously be kept 'artificially' low for a good few years.
Probably still the best value in the Prem.
I'm sure last year mine was £700 and its now £770, my son has just told me his has gone up just £10 so I'm doubting myself now.
Should just put the price of merchandise and City branded stuff up in the mega stores and online etc.
Their 'new' fans and tourist fans will still buy it all, whilst the loyal ST holders and long timers don't feel the pinch so much.

Until you know about my personal financial position mate, don't preach to me about complaining and wanting desperately to go and support the team I've loved for over 50 years.
With the amount of money clubs are making from the TV deals, surely they should be freezing the prices of their tickets?
My Dads 2 season tickets at United are £703 for the 2nd tier Stretty end, prices have been frozen for 6 seasons in a row now.

Exactly, you have to draw the line somewhere.
Whilst it seems that anyone who could afford £700 a year, could probably afford £770, but then where do you stop.

Afraid it stops this season Mike
Would you have accepted any increase at all, or is £70 just taking the pee?
Quite a few people I know have their United ones on 0% finance through the club, over 10 months or something.
Agree that any ticket increases now days are laughable with the amount of extra revenue clubs are posting year on year.

its a shame Monton because then they lose genuine hard working fans like you, and then it's a bit like, well you're enjoying the good times but now you can't enjoy them properly, whereas when you wasn't enjoying such good times at least you could see them.
It's a joke, clubs are happy to pay 50 million for a play but not willing to invest say 10-20 million to lower/freeze ticket prices
£70 extra to 40,000 ST holders though (roughly) is only £2.8 million, so pocket change to City and genuinely will make zero difference to their end of year accounts, but they lose some fans that have been going years.
Baffles.

I'm not preaching to anyone, more a sort of "join the club" thing, tbh. Arsenal fans get nothing but stick for the club's sky-high ticket prices, everyone seemingly finding it hilarious - but you have my sympathy none the less.
Must admit, I didn't realise your prices were that high, did a google and it said your prices were about £350.
Isn't moving to a cheaper stand a option?

I've always wondered this. I really don't know why clubs screw the ticket buying fans to the wall.
Where do you sit Monton? Thought it was a 2% increase, but I imagine that's averaged out.

Probably just because 'they can'.
If people still buy them and they sell out the allocation, then it's job done.
Maybe try it again in a few years and see if people still buy them.
Happy that Uniteds tickets have been frozen for 6 years now in fairness, ST prices between £530 and £900 depending on area, not too bad.
Maybe they'll start charging more if we stop being so shiiiit

That is probably an average price which more than likely includes kids and cheaper seat, moving is an option, I've sat with the same people for years. TBH its the clubs propensity to favour corporate over real fans which has annoyed me over the last few years.

Maybe, but, no one expected us to be so bad this year, or when LVG was appointed, we signed ADM and Falcao and the place was buzzing on opening day, season tickets sold out in record time I think.
Could've justified an increase, and still would've sold out.
Same for when Jose took over and we landed Pogdab and Ibra.

East Stand Block 102, I know I'm getting on a bit but I'm sure the prices were frozen last year at £700, someones going to make me look a fool ........................ again!!
