Well done, Walter and Paul

Where the heck is everyone? Good to win the last game and well done to those 20,000+ who went.
Bute, why does it matter that we finished above a certain other club?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I thought it was relevant as it's the first season we've finished above Mick since we sacked him. So a bit of a milestone, and we've got that particular monkey off our back. Perhaps the Hodgson curse has finally been lifted.
Onwards and upwards from here I hope.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It's been a nightmare hasn't it, ahead once, behind once and level once, man he has shown us up, think he even beat us a few seasons back.
Two famous clubs being ruined by neanderthal managers intent on dishing up garbage is the reality.

I wouldn't have described out title winning season as "garbage". (Unless it was an anomaly.) Quite envy Newcastle today.
Went to the game today. We weren't great but it easily the best I've seen them this season, which most of you will know isn't saying much.
Eno could and probably should have had a hattrick. Dicko maybe two. 3-0 would have reflected the play although Harry did make a good save towards the end.
Graham had a good hour or so and will return to his best after a pre-season, I also thought Silvio had a very good game. MoM for me was Dicko who never gave up and could have ended up with 2 goals and 2 assists.
Looking forward to August already. Yes, honestly!

That's 2 games running where we've had good feedback about Dicko. Good to hear. The right manager in place and we could challenge for the title again.
Hopefully that's Paul Lambert, I should add.
The right manager is in place, at least for now. Don't be too harsh on someone who inherited a lopped sided squad with players not used to the rigors of the Championship.
Hopefully a good clear out during the summer and players PL had targeted coming in, will see us at least pushing for a play off place, if not automatic promotion.
Get a squad of about 20/21 hardened pro's at this level or better, coupled with the emergence of a few youngsters and I'm sure we'll have a much better season next time round.
Remember, we are Wolves.

Absolutely correct, our title charge wasn't garbage, McCarthy really knew what he was doing and had us functioning nicely, noticeable how that wasn't the case this season, especially in midfield.

Agree with all of that wulfrun and I look forward to next season too and as much as I will enjoy summer I will miss going to the footie. A few good additions and hopefully we will make good strides up the table
Quite impressed yesterday.
Graham looked as good as he did before his injury Silvio looked good as did all the back4
The elephant in the room is the forwards. Dicko and Bod are simply not good enough and we must find better if we hope to challenge for the playoffs or automatic promotion
Their certainly no world beaters
Just notice we're one of only 5 teams that scored more goals away from home than we conceded.
Now if we could just sort out a style of play at the Mol that will get us some more points.
I think the future of Bodvarsson and Dicko depends on how we are going to set up to play. I don't agree they aren't good enough, but they are not and never will be consistent goalscorers.
If we played 442 I think both would be good playing alongside someone that knows where the net is at this level. Dicko has already proved that when playing with Afobe.
Goalscorers generally need a good partner up front to help them get chances. Bully benefitted from Mutch and Richards from Dougan.
If we don't play with 2 up front then we need goalscoring midfield players like Costa and Edwards because its no good relying on one player to score all the goals. We would be happy to find a striker that got 20+ goals next season but to get promoted then as a team we need to score 70+
Big match for the U23s at Molineux tonight at 7 against West Ham in the play off semi final with a place in the top flight of U23 Premier League for the winners of the final, that will also be at Molineux if we win tonight. Its a one off game that will be decided tonight with extra time and penalties if needed.
Squad: Dan Armstrong, Anthony Breslin, Rory Brown, Nicu Carnat, Joe Delacoe, Sylvain Deslandes, Niall Ennis, Ross Finnie, Aaron Hayden, Christian Herc, Connor Johnson, Ryan Leak, Conor Levingston, Duckens Nazon, Will Randall, Jack Ruddy, Aaron Simpson and Donovan Wilson.
Let's just hope the U23's do better than our previous meeting with West ham at home, when we lost 0-4.
1-0 up, Sylvan Deslandes header from a corner.
1-1 Heading for extra time <sad>
West Ham go close to scoring the winner with 1 minute to go!
Penalty to West Ham with 4 minutes added time
