tbh hes probably good enough for a lower/mid prem team like albion.
hes seen a ridiculous amount of rubbish happen at lufc and was offered peanuts in terms of pay.
dont blame him for wanting out especially when all his mates have jumped ship too. after everything thats gone on theres no real reason to stay, we cant keep threatening to mean business again then but not back it up.
On that point Rich - hoping the atmosphere will settle down now and any bright future prospects from the youth ranks stick around. We have lost some good ones in recent times in no small part due to the fiasco that has been the latter day so called Guardians of the club.
exactly mate but until you see change you cant keep claiming you have.
show them evidence and we should see changes.
I have no sympathy. As a fan I'd walk on broken glass to play for Leeds United.

And would you have a career to fall back on? Or the opportunities and skill set to get one?
Completely different scenario.
We're fans, we're emotive and passionate about our club... agents deal with £'s and players listen to agents.
Taylor's perspective was he tried his best in difficult circumstances this season (for him). He played when asked until promotion was out of the window. Then didn't risk a life changing contract for a dead rubber.
Not very honourable but entirely understandable. If he'd refused to play against Norwich for example that's a whole different level for me. Doesn't make it right but ask yourself if you'd take the risk?
Some stats I read suggest the average player picks up 2 injuries per season, only 1 in 6 or so are 'serious'. So for ballpark arguments sake in a 40 match season you're looking at 1 in 20 for a knock of some description and 1 in a 120 that it's serious. Taylor has had his fair share of injuries though and so it probably feels like higher risk to him.

Not defending him as it was wrong but the whole situation is Cellinos fault all Charlie ever wanted was to be paid in line with the other players and as player of the year he felt he deserved that, wouldn't be surprised if his new club told him not to play, all in all a sad end to his Leeds career.
All four local lads who were portrayed as the future of the club have now gone, this along with Dave Hockaday to me will be Cellinos legacy.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Got to agree don, how celllino ever allowed hockaday to leave is beyond me
Remind me but wasn't Hockadays record after 6 games not to dissimilar to Garry Monks?
Sorry too - me and phones ughhh!
No idea why we are giving him time.
Get out of our club asap
not before we get our compo!!!!

Standing joke that it is, the guy wasn't given a chance, nor was darko. The joke is meant on Cellino not the managers, though sadly the joke has been on all of us.
Hock did OK. He earned the players respect which took some doing. Never should have got the job but he did OK. Darko was a strange one but wasn't given time and he played Redfearns team
I find it funny when people say they would have done anything for Leeds United!..
So if you'd won player off the year and you knew other teams around you average players were earning more than you, you wouldn't want more?..
He earned the right to be rewarded and wasn't!..
Did he not carry on playing even though his contract wasn't bettered?..
That must have been gut wrenching!..
And lets not forget, he was dragged through the sewer by the rat keeper, the one and only that dragged more than one or two players and some coaches on the way through the same smelly hole!..
Did he not request a move?..
Leeds United could have ended the crap there and then, but no, Leeds United had someone with an ego to big for his ass that said publicly "he ain't going anywhere"!..
This isn't down to Taylor, this is down to someone that doesn't like it when anyone says no to him, there is why its ended the way it has!..
People, we can all say this that and whatever for Leeds United, but you've never been there so really have no right to say it!..
Taylor did what so many before did, their best, and got crapped on by we all know who!..
Hopefully this is the last, because if our this time player off the year don't get a better deal, well, maybe he could join WBA!..
Well put Germany ............... now go grab a Bitburger ..............
Spot on Germany,
Think most of the managers under Cellino have done ok given the circumstances but some should have never been anywhere near this great club,
......the last 3 incumbents shouldn't have been anywhere near this club in fact our Sardinian friend has acted like he wasn't anywhere near i.e was on another planet!
Taylor's getting to many free passes for disgraceful actions, based on where he was born and being an academy lad. Loved him as a player right up to mid season. He obviously decided he was out of here.
But refusing to play last game shows his true colours.
And they aint white.
Taylor made his debut under Simon Grayson. He's had 9 managers and he's only 24, all the same club. That's madness. It's not wonder he wanted to leave or Cook or Byram chose to either. Look at Mowatt - he stayed too long and his career has suffered.
Hopefully we will now be a club that makes Vieira want to stay.
Taylor gets no passes from me whatsoever, utter ****.
Never should've been played this season and for a good few games he was backing out of challenges left right and centre....good riddance.
Best - can't ignore that angle, Taylor's not absolved but the mitigation documents are thick.
Agree, he's not absolved. Sad thing is all this could have been avoided if this club was sensibily run.
I look at this way
He wasn't staying, so he's saved us two weeks wages with the fine

he did ask to leave and could of been sold for a reasonable sum.

whenever someone leaves this club its always the players fault and never the clubs for the way they treat people.
