Ive heard the rumours about Sessegnon too. Really hope its true because this kid is special and is supposed to be Bale and Dele Alli special.

Ive got to admit I used to think Davies was bang average, a limited but fairly solid defender but he has been excellent in Rose's absence.

Of course you need your best players available if possible when you play against the best but I'm not worried about Davies being in the side now.

Didn't we win something like 12 out of our 13 last games?

Davies played in every one of them.

Please tell me who would be a better back up than him at LB.

I just don't get it. He's an excellent player.

Sessegnon is surely for the future. Really don't want a 17 year old up against Messi or Robben in the CL.

I'm fuming that Tielemans is off to Monaco for £21m. What are we Facking playing at not going for him?

I read he knocked backed lots of prem teams as thought it was to early to Join the league.

Probably done right thing. Couple seasons at Monaco and he'll be ready to go to the very best teams imo

Sign a CM/AM (I know it's unpopular but I would like Barkley), and then replace Wimmer/Walker if they leave. We don't need to do any more than that really, other than shift the deadwood

posted on 23/5/17

Pretty much agree Analog.

Wouldn't be opposed to bringing in another striker to provide a different option along with Vinny.

If Lamela leaves, I'd be happy with Zaha. But I'd prefer Lamela to stay.

posted on 23/5/17

Zaha would cost far too much in relation to his talent and 1 decent/good season.

posted on 23/5/17

Ledders, if managed right I honestly think Zaha could go on to be world class. But it's a bit of a 'punt' at this stage.

I like Zaha and think he'd be a good weapon and someone totally different.

posted on 23/5/17

If seen absolutely nothing to suggest Zaha could become world class. Lacks the vision, creativity, passing, shooting and consistency to be there. 1 good season in 3 for someone who'll be 25 in November.

Feel like it's Groundhog day with these comments, but here goes....

I think we will be going with 3 at the back as the default formation next season myself, so my requirements are based in that....

Lloris............Vorm/Pau

Verts............Davies
Toby.............CCV
Dier...............#1 NEW RIGHTSIDED CB

Rose.............#2 NEW ATTACKING LB
Wanyama.....Winks
Dembele.......#3 NEW CM/AM
Walker...........Trippier

Alli.................Son
Eriksen..........Lamela

Kane..............Janssen

Three good signings, and possibly a 4th if Walker goes and I will be happy.

Sissoko looks a goner.
Ditto Wimmer.
GKN probably kept as an extra man,...but if Zaha is a possibility.....probably no though

#1
CCV would firmly be the 6th CB. The new guy would preferably be able to play centre back and on the right of the three.
--Maguire linked. Like.
--Veltman too. Not a clue.

#2
Move Davies back to become our alternative Vertonghen, he could become a very progressive LCB. Then get in proper competition for Rose. Not just because it is healthy, but because he is also prone to missing a few.
--Shaw linked. Like
--Sessegnon linked. One for the future. With Davies in the squad we always have a third option if this happens.

#3
A player who is happy to play in CM or in an attacking midfield position. A playmaker. We have solid midfied options as first choice, Dier a solid fallback, Winks a promising fetcher and carrier, but another versatile creator would be ideal.

That would be a very versatile squad in my opinion.

6 specialist CBs (inc #1)
Other option - Wanyama

2 specialist LBs (inc #2)
Other options - Verts and Davies

2 specialist RBs
Other options - Dier, Toby and #1

4 specialist CMs (inc #3)
Other options - Dier, Alli, Eriksen, even Lamela?

4 specialist AMs
Other options - #3, Kane, Nkoudou.

2 specialist CFs
Other option - Son

Although I disagree that we will permanently be moving to 3 at the back, I agree with those type of signings

posted on 23/5/17

I think versatility is key, Analog.

Those types of signings would allow us to swalllow playing 4231 or 4141 for a sustained busy period, or easily switching between systems during a game.

We have a lot of players with more than one string to their bow, and it really works for us

We just need 3 signings or possibly 4 if Walker goes.

1) A forward/striker, preferably pacy or who can offer something else - Vardy, Antonio, Hernandez etc.

2) A CM. This will become more of a priority if Lamela leaves - Siggy, Barkley, Lanzini etc.

3) A CB who, if he can play as a full back, would be a bonus - Maguire, Gibson, Mawson, Keane etc.

I doubt we will sign many, I can see Sessegnon being signed and Walker-Peters being promoted.

Also one midfielder and a striker and that's about it really.

Don't think Poch will want to mess with the team too much and will just replace players not doing much.

posted on 24/5/17

We don't need to sign many, it's all about the quality rather than the quantity. No more signing highly-paid spectators.
