Kill Bill 1 over 2 robb?

Jackie Brown is a classic for sure and I'd have it at the top with Pulp fiction at 2 followed by Dogs.

Not a fan of Kill Bill nor was I a fan of remakes like Djanjo and Inglorious.

Yeah, 1 is a much (seemingly) leaner film and imo a better one with more urgency. I was disappointed with the final battle in part two

The battle in the house of the blue leaves in part one was movie magic

Watched pulp fiction a few times. Jackie brown a couple. The rest, one and done. Stylised but nothing interesting

I must say that part was beautiful, the fight in the snow is glorious.

I just love Caradines Bill, he's just phenomenal. Having said that I do love Oren Ishi'i, and as I said I want a spinoff film of her.

Fair enough, I have only seen Brown and Dogs once each so perhaps I need to give them another watch.

Love inglorious barstewards, Django and kill bill.

While not strictly a Tarantino film, True Romance would be pretty high up that list

Almost the perfect movie. That Clarence character seemed like me in a movie. I'm sure a lot of men felt that way. Tarantino wrote that while a nobody working in a video shop and no doubt a lot of himself was projected onto Slaters character

I'm not really a fan. Most are overrated in my book.

Even pulp fiction and res dogs I don't actually like that much but can appreciate the layered story.

Yeah most are quite hollow and vacuous.

Pulp Fiction is his best imo by some considerable distance.

Dogs is too far down your list imo, I think it's brilliant. Ludicrously simple plot but as with most Tarantino films, it's the dialogue that make it enjoyable.

I just enjoy how he tells his stories, how he takes his time and every small thing such as lighting a cigarette is given it's time to breath. Builds tension and suspense in certain scenes.

But his films are generally very simple in terms of plot, normally a story of revenge.

Yeah seems pretty unanimous I've got Brown and Dogs too far down the list, as I said I've only seen them once so I'll have to watch them again

Personally I'd only have Jackie Brown 4th. Although I don't think there a huge amount between JB, RD or IB.

Pulp Fiction is another league in my mind. His masterpiece.

What did everyone think of the hateful eight? I really enjoyed the first half but the second half fell flat a little. I thought Kurt Russell was brilliant, the film more or less died when he did imo.

Whereas I find a lot of his stuff to be superficial self ingulgent pop corn flicks

Found it boring.

If I was judging them on merit, then pulp fiction and Jackie brown would be my top two.

I personally have always preferred Reservoir Dogs to either though. It's nowhere near as good a film, but I just find it more enjoyable.

More I think of it, the more I realise aside from dusk til dawn, I don't really rate any of his films.

I wouldn't watch them if on tv. Definately not on DVD.
