If Costa has forwarded this text to loads of people they could back him up but no one has.
How can anyone prove Conte didnt send it?
Is he supposed to hand over his mobile phone records to the press to prove he hasnt texted him?
Why would he do that?
He like most people, just wants a problem removed from the team.

Given the press headlines, why hasn't someone come out and say "actually that's all a lie" if it really is a lie? Even if we assume the story is not true, no good can come from letting a not true story remain out there for a while before proving it's not true. You should squash it as soon as possible, so why has that not been done?
I'm not saying its definitely true, but I do think it is because if I was a higher up at chelsea, I'd want this story over as soon as possible. I wouldn't let it stay there.

It's not a slanting match. Conte comes out and denies it and then all of a sudden people don't know who to believe and this can no longer be a factor that affect transfer negotiations as no one knows what the truth is, although I'd bet more people would believe conte than Costa. But not saying anything just makes people more likely to believe Costa.
Costa making up this kind of specific story And it being untrue seems very unlikely to me.

Because the club want to get as much money for him as possible, the longer this goes on the worse for the club.
This story will go away if its ignored the longer Costa does not provide the truth.
If the Club start having a go at one of its current players the club will look bad.
At the moment most supporters think Costa is lying a it is.

Having a go? All they have to do is say it's not true. I'd say more people think The story is true currently not the other way around, and the longer the press say it's true, the more People will believe it.
No harm can come from the club saying it's not true and there is no basis for this story whatsoever.

Fully supportive of conte tbh. Costa been sulking for three years. Only ever got half a season at a time out of him. All white noise from costa so far this season
Tbh from a neutrals point of view Conte comes across as a bit of a nightmare and incredibly unprofessional whereas Costa comes across as a top lad and utterly committed so I'm sure the OP has got this spot on.
