Would rather watch Canelo vs Golovkin
----------
any real boxing fan would, that fight is on this year, ward vs kovalev 2 is on this week yet everyone will take about this, not going to fault the fighters here, I mean if you can make 100mill for one fight who in their right mind would turn that down(am hearing its about 75mill for conner,
what would be hilarious now is if the ppv bombed(which I doubt), would at least stop something like this happening again
I actually consider myself to be one of the 'casuals' irrespective of the fact some on here use it as an insult. I tend to watch the big bouts only.
I seriously doubt I'll watch this. Definitely wouldn't pay for it and would probably only watch if I woke up the next day and read reports of it being an amazing fight (slim odds I know!).
Other than that, I'll look for the result but that's about it. I don't watch UFC either though so perhaps that's why I'm not as interested as some.
It might help shift some media attention back to boxing, particularly if Conor gets a spanking.

Have to disagree. All it would mean is that a boxer beat a UFC fighter in a boxing match.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
True. But Mayweather Fanboys and MMA Fanboys will fall for it. They fall for it every time.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
MMA fanboys such as myself care about as much for it as boxing fanboys such as yourself, Conor has somewhat held UFC and MMA to ransom by being unable to defend titles, People who only like mcgregor are excited for this, no one who actually likes UFC, hes not even their best fighter

What's Canelo vs GGG got to do with this fight? Second time you've mentioned it now. Go watch that fight instead then. I'll be watching both fights and enjoying them for different reasons.
Exactly, you get to see the greatest boxer of all time fight one more time, you get to a see a boxer vs an mma fighter, the build up and trash talking is going to be hilarious and all the face offs etc, it's also interesting to see how Mcgregor prepares, adapts and trains.
Fair enough the actual main event might bomb, but who cares, I'd rather have it to watch than not to watch.
People just moan about anything and everything for the sake of it the miserable bstards bit like people moaning about Prison Break coming back the other month, so what if it's nowhere near as good as the first 2, i'd rather watch 9 new episodes of it than not watch 9 episodes of it.
Some people need to lighten up, i'd rather see Mayweather fighting this year than not fighting ever again
I'm doing a 13 mile assault course that day.
I'm not going to be staying up and watching that is for sure.
You'll watch the highlights though so you can pick something out to criticize and whinge and whine over Floyd about though
Mayweather is the clear, clear favourite but Connor has a punchers chance.
I'll watch it and I'll pay for it because I hate watching on sh!tty streams where you can't make out who's who and it's £20 for a Saturday night of entertainment with a couple of cans.
And can we stop attacking casual fight fans with the childish insults, except Mr C. He's fair game!

What do you expect to see that you will not see in any of the boxing big events over this summer. And will that be worth your £20?
I'm looking forward to it.
People forget, that at the end of the day, sports is entertainment.
And this will be entertaining.
There's always been a fine line between boxing/mma and the sports entertainment world of pro wrestling, so why not blur that line further? Mayweather's already fought the Big Show at Wrestlemania. Muhammad Ali fought Antonio Inoki in a crossover rules boxing/wrestling contest. So what's wrong with this?
Conor has a good chance of winning as well.

But maybe you are just easily manipulated in general and fall for these gimmicks. Do you watch a lot of reality TV?
the amount of casuals on this thread looking forward to putting £20 into Mayweather's pocket disgusts me. Where were they last week when Haskins fought Burdette in a FOTY candidate?
