Zouma

and WTF is that theory based on.?

Please don't say something you read in the media

Sandro would be great, having world class wingbacks instead of average ones is part of what we need to really take us to the next level. Would gladly take him as a marquee signing, and part of me thinks by enticing him with money this is actually a feasible transfer

Alex Sandro is just a pipe dream. Juve won't sell despite the mamooth offer, move on to other options

This theory is based on the fact our club have a track record of undermining managers and Conte may not stand for it and take up a post elsewhere.

It's become a norm for some Chelsea fans to criticise most players heavily linked to us before they even kick a ball for us.
It's always: 'he's not yet proven in the PL', or 'he's rubbish'

For me, Bakayoko has the talent to be a very good CM in the future if he's nutured well.
There's no better coach out there to help him fulfill his potential than Conte.
People are so quick to judge.
I repeat: Sandro and Bakayoko will be great signings.

Considering how many donkeys we have bought in the past I would say that such sentiments have some justification.

There has to be a balance, The club has to take more risk with our young players and allow them to develop at our club. Even if it is just one place in the starting line up each season it would be something.

Every decent player comes with an extortionate price tag nowadays - it's just a case of sifting through the chaff and working out if the player is worth it relatively, so to speak!

As for Sandro, I haven't seen him so can't really comment on him!

According to the Evening Standard we are going to announce a major surprise signing on the 1st of July. Don't know who'll it be but if true that's great news.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
this is the first day of our shirt sponsorship...so any signings will be on show

Fair enough that is a bit ridiculous, but I'd still wouldn't want him based on the fees being mentioned. £131 million, £500,000 a week with bonuses on top for a 32 year old who'll have pretty much no resale value (unless he goes to China).

He is one of the best Left backs around and would suit our system but isn't £52m a little extortionate for a wing back?

If a dancer is worth £90 million in today's market then this is pennies for a footballer...

On a serious note, i like Alonso and think he's actually a bit underrated by a lot of our fans... the player we need to replace is Moses, the guy got shown up a lot towards the end of the season and in terms of talent he had a brilliant start but watching his second half of the season made me question him a lot.. practically every game

Really dunno why some Chelsea fans are obsessed with our youngsters. If they're good enough to compete with the best, they'd surely be called upon.

The likes of Bakayoko have had an opportunity to show what they can do - an opportunity not afforded to youngsters at Chelsea.

We could have the next Pele under our noses but still wouldn't take the time to find out!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
If playing them in the first team is the only way to know if there good enough then all our coaches and scouts should be fired immediately.

Your right about that.

It's all about supply and demand .

If you insist on the finished article you will have to pay through the nose today.

Totally agree with this. Alonso has a great work ethic and chips in with important goals. Moses would be a good squad option but easily improved on.

Why?

No coach is going to know what a young player is like until he has seen him battle hardened after a prolonged period.

Do you think Delli Alli was thrown into the frey and all of a sudden was the player we saw last season?

Brummie, put it this way, its obvious Abraham has potential to be good enough but Fankaty Dabo doesn't, i don't need to see either in our first team to come to that conclusion.

Also when i played footy as a kid out of everyone i played with two player's stood out and everyone in our team unanimously agreed if any will make it as a pro it would be them two (and one did). So if a bunch of 13 year old's with no coaching badges can clock the best talent i would be seriously distrubed if our coaches couldn't.

RM, potential means nothing at this level, we can all spot the most likely candidates but a player needs time to grow into a league like the PL, it just doesn't happen overnight.

Even experienced players from abroad can take time to adapt, let alone raw teenagers. They need some platform to build on and don't receive it.

No dramas RM, that's just my opinion!

posted on 19/6/17

You can spot the one's with potential but even at a young age it's obvious who has no chance.

Imagine if we spent so much time giving Bamford and Kalas opportunities, the time we have wasted on Kennedy and Loftus cheek is bad enough

posted on 19/6/17

I actually rate both Kalas and Kenedy. I think Kenedy could be a shout for that LWB role.

posted on 19/6/17

The point I'm making RM is that we know the ones with potential but as a club do nothing to help them realise that potential apart from continually loan them out.

Didn't rate Kenedy that much and think we'd be better off releasing him, Kalas I thought was decent but at his age the decent thing to do for him, would be to let him go to get his career going properly before we ruin him.
