as much as I like lamela, a double hip operation...... 4 months until he can kick a ball again.
sounds like a write off to me. but we probably cannot sell him.
My last car was in better condition than Lamela is in, and that had to be towed away.
We should be already looking for a replacement.
Probably why we are looking at both Barkley and lemar.

As good as Poch is, he isn't a miracle worker with everyone. He'll get you fitter for sure but a lot of the mentality part is still down to the individual, and that's where Barkley is lacking.
I don't think he's a bad player though, just overrated.
I'd love Barkley at Spurs! I think he's underrated if anything. How a talent like that can't get in an England squad with the likes of Livermore in is beyond me. He's got a bit of Gazza in him. With the right manager behind him I think he could be world class. Genuinely. One of the few things Roberto Martinez was right about.
If he's in the last year of his contract, surely 25-30m will get him. Think it will likely be him or Lemar, not both.

He can't be overrated as it's the cool thing not to rate him it seems.
He's 23 and ready to kick on again. Would be a great buy for us and would really push our squad depth up higher.

Although I think there's room for both. Remember Sissoko is on his way out and Lamela out till gods know when plus Dele banned for most of the early CL games there's enough for both.
