I reuse mine for a week and then get a new one. I have heard keeping the same one for a long time can be dangerous.
I am looking at my water bottle and seriously wondering if I should retire it, I've had it since Monday.
Plastic bottle is horrible for your health you guys should invest in Hydro flask for 20 pounds you can use for cold water during the summer...and hot coffee, soup, tea during the winter!
Saves TONS, good for your health and the environment!
You could get cheaper brands too but for long term investment Hydro Flask is one of the best around. No I don’t work for them lol.

Also don’t take it near Wenger or might just https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DCYOcETY5sM
I don't reuse mine, since I get them by the pallet.
However, I have never known anybody to get sick from reusing a bottle.
Have you?
"Plastic drinking bottles contain many chemicals, some of which interfere with hormones in the body. These chemicals include bisphenol-A, or BPA, and phthalates, among others. Chemicals in the plastic can leach into bottled water, especially when exposed to heat or when the bottle is old. Different types of plastic---indicated by the number inside the triangle of arrows on the bottom of the bottle---contain different chemicals. Bottlers generally use the type of plastic labeled "1," and identified by the letters PET or PETE. Advocacy groups including the Natural Resources Defense Council and Sierra Club have pointed out evidence of harmful chemicals leaching into food or water and have called for further research to ensure safety."
I usually way the bottle afterwards so this doesn't affect me.
I buy bottled water a lot, but don't get ill from it because I get a new one every time

Yes sir.
if you get the hydro flask thing in the long run you actually save money as well.
It's not great to drink bottled water too much anyway, it's high in sodium.
Too practical to stop though
Is it healthier to use a used empty water bottle like volvic etc or empty Coca-Cola bottle?
It is best to use one of the old glass milk bottles. It's difficult to get replacement tin foil caps to seal the though
Has anyone ever used one of those straw things that you're supposed to be able to drink toilet water through, or from a river/lake/puddle?
I wouldn't dare even though they're supposed to filter 99.999999% of shiiiit or something.
I'll use them for a couple weeks at a time. The way I see it, they spend potentially months lying around in a warehouse, on the supermarket shelf, maybe in storage at home, where the bottle material can leach into the stagnant water. When I re-use the bottle I generally tend to rinse it out and then drink the water over a small time window. IMO any plastic content would pale in comparison to what would be present within the initial drink from the unopened bottle. Obviously I'll admit I'm no expert though.
I save them up in a massive plastic bag and send them to recycling when given the chance.
I feel bad for admitting that I've reused the same water bottle that I take to the gym for a good few years.
