You paid well over £100m to get him though. Chelsea's bid was £60m prior to you jumping in
-------------------------------------------------
Everton quite clearly set their price and minus the higher agent fees, you wouldn't have paid a great deal less than what we are going to in the end to secure him.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Everton aren't the ones paying Raiola's fee
Conte'nt
You don't know how add ons work, do you?
Do you understand what add ons are?
Good grief. Conte'nt trying to take the pee over add ons and he doesn't know how they work.
What a pillock.
You pay them if certain terms are met. Not up front.
Hence we haven't paid them like you suggested.
Hope this helps.
Or paying off Rooney's contract ?
----------------------------------------------------
Why would you include us paying off Rooney's contract in any fee we're paying for Lukaku?
We'd have probably had to pay out Rooney's contract regardless this summer, no matter who he joined. It's unfortunate but irrelevant really.
I'm just pleased he's finally gone.
Conte'nt
I will simplify this for you.
If any club ends up paying add ons it means that either the player has met his targets or the club has won tons of trophies with the player.
This is why no one cares about add ons.
So you're not paying £15m adds on ? Or Raiola's abnormal fees ?
-----------------------------------------------
You'd have had to pay the same sort of add-ons eventually or agree to a higher initial transfer fee.
What are you not understanding here?
We'd have paid more in agent fees than you and that's about it.
-------------------------------------------------
Everton aren't the ones paying Raiola's fee
-------------------------------------------------
I never said they were.
I haven't met any Chelsea fans who are upset at losing out on Lukaku
He's the biggest bullet dodged ever
Please send any Chelsea fans that are upset about losing out on Lukaku my way

OK we"'re getting somewhere.
A big chunk of that £15m is number of appearances, number of goals and a smal bit club's achievement i.e. if you win a league title, Cl, or any other trophies.
There clauses will be triggered if the above are met, it's the objective that your club is aiming to achieve.
I have not seen any evidence other than gossip as to who is paying any agent fee.
Likewise, I have not seen anything on us paying off Rooney's contract. Why on earth would we?
These information are often leaked from the insiders in the club via the social media. It's not like the old days when didn't know until months later.
Conte'nt
Nothing is leaked by anyone much. The media just make it up.
Don't disagree. But that normally happens rumours. When transfers are completed they normally get them spot on.
Conte'nt
They never get the details of Uniteds transfers spot on because we don't disclose them.
They get bits and pieces near enough, generally if it is put out by the other club.
You'll find that the information is leaked from someone who works in the finance team. Even players accountants have access to these information
Does make me laugh how people take tabloid headlines as gospel
Makes me laugh how anyone pays any attention to them at all.
Except to score points on opposition fans of course.
Pride
Conte'nt is a bit simple as you can tell by him not understanding how add ons work.

Break down from Chelsea fans? We didn't want lukaku and not particularly fussed about bakayoko...
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Some of your fans didn't. Your club did though.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
just saying in the original topic it said meltdown from chelsea fans. Personally not that fussed about any of it. Bats has done more in a short space of time than lukaku ever did at the club so just want to see him given a crack.
