De Bruyne is completely wasted playing where he is.

But Chelsea have played really well. Werner is just hilarious.

Yeah Chelsea have played well.

Werner makes so many sub-optimal decisions which make his chance of a goal more difficult but he does a lot of things right.

You’d think he’d change it. So many of their players are having poor games, though. Chelsea have been really good. If Werner wasn’t so shiiiiit they’d be winning comfortably.

They've been brilliant when they've turned possession over. Created a number of good opportunites.

They've done a really good job at blocking passing lanes as well.

Apart from having Tino Wormer in the team

Put Rodri in for Bernardo and stick Sterling up top and things should look a little better for City.

But their big players really need to step up second half. Mahrez, Sterling, KDB and Gundogan have been awful.

Hopefully Werner can bag the second for Chelsea. Just for the sheer embarrassment for City of conceding a goal against him in the CL final.

Superb from Chelsea, unbelievably good. The job Tuchel has done there is incredible.

Pep too smart for his own good but too many of their players failed to show tonight.

Yeah unbelievable. Didn’t think they’d get this good this quick.

Pep’s set up wasn’t good, but the performances from a lot of the City players were very poor.

Credit to Chelsea for that in many ways. They completely shut them down. It wasn’t just the tactics, they won all of their individual battles.

Chilwell and James completely dominated Sterling and Mahrez.

Yeah you couldn't fault any of them really except Werner.

I really like Reece James, impressed me all season. He's been my choice to start at RB at the Euros for months.

The worrying thing though is Chelsea are now only one European Cup behind us and look far more likely to win another before we do.

God, I hate Chelsea so much.

But they thoroughly deserved to win. Completely outplayed an abject City team who fell into the same traps.

Think it's time for me to admit Chelsea are the biggest club in London.

Was that Pep's excuse at Bayern too?

For all the great work he does throughout the season, he keeps just facking it up at the sharp end of this competition.

I was talking about City where it’s been a big issue.
Bayern’s were different, though from memory one of the big problems was their injury problems during the final stages.

I do agree Pep’s made some poor decisions that have contributed to their losses.

But, to be honest, I think far too much is made out of the tactical issues. It’s always the narrative around Pep when he wins or loses. The player issues always take a back seat because he has good players. But the contributions of the players, or lack thereof, are obviously extremely important in games of this magnitude. You’ll know that better than anyone being a Madrid fan.

It’s not something that is strictly with Pep either. I think it’s become the common narrative in football discourse.

I did see an interesting comment on another site about Pep. That with the best squad in the league it’s easier to win a 38 game season but when it comes down to tactical match ups in cup knockout games he can come unstuck. Obviously he’s no fraud etc but tactically I think he’s weaker than some of his biggest fans will admit.
