No I haven’t. Hopefully he’ll help, as would Varane. I’ve said it before but losing Pogba would really weakness us here as well. He’s so good in the air.
Yeah he is really good for us in the air. With a dedicated set piece coach in we'll hopefully be able to make up for his absence if he leaves.
We surely can't be any worse than last season can we?
I’m interested to see where bissouma does end up/if he even does. Would’ve thought arsenal would’ve went big for him.
Meanwhile, Spanish journalist Sergio Quirante took to Twitter to report Varane, who was expected to train from 10am today, was the only player missing from the training session.
2 MINS LATER..
Update: Quirante is now reporting the former Lens man has been spotted training with his Real Madrid teammates.

I thought Bissouma would have been snapped up sharpish when the season finished. If we don’t sign him (and I doubt we will) I hope he stays with Brighton another year. Would be tough for Brighton having to replace two key players this summer.
Got a feeling August is gonna be a mad rush for player signings, most players are still on holiday because of the Euro’s so managers haven’t been able to assess. Wouldn’t be surprised if Kane leaves in the last few days of the window either
Am I the only one surprised we are the only club showing interest in Varane too? Quality CB’s are a rarity these days
Not sure, clubs just don’t have much money so there just won’t be as many transfers as there usually is.
I thought maybe Chelsea and PSG might show interest, but there’s not really anyone else that would need him that can afford him. Plus I think he does just want to come to United, so there might have been approaches that haven’t really got anyway due to that.
Blimey, never have I seen a transfer accelerate so quick over the course of 6/7 hours. Looks like Varane might be announced in the next few hours.
Raphael Varane has committed the most errors directly leading to an opposition goal of all outfielders in the Champions League since 2016/17 (4)
saw this stat today, our defenders make about triple that amount of mistakes in one match. Lindelof probably double ffs
Who is the other key Brighton player?

That stat is usually pointless though - it basically covers the scenario in which they directly fack up to a goal. Misplaced pass or something. Instances where a defender is out of position or unnecessarily playing the whole team onside etc aren’t considered
Ben White. I think he’s so important to the way Brighton build from the back, even it he’s not the most important from a defensive perspective.
That’ll be difficult to replace, he really is class on the ball. I think they can replace his defensive importance with Veltman and not miss a beat.
Varane’s probably played more CL games than anyone in that period, only thing that’s surprising about it is that Ramos hasn’t made more.
Varane for maybe 2 seasons now, has been poverty for Madrid...and even more so when Ramos hasn't been there holding his hand
Honestly have serious doubts about him in a league such as the Premier, that is more physically full on than La Liga
Time will tell
It will be interesting to see him week in week out without Ramos, and see how he performs
It's done apparently, medical in 2 days. 50m euro fee

Gianluca Di Marzio rises from the ashes:
@DiMarzio
#Varane @ManUtd deal done: €50M plus bonus to @realmadrid, medicals in #Manchester in two days
Nice to see us getting some decent deals and having them wrapped up early. Obviously we’ll need a few more years to make a judgement, but so far so good under Murtough.
I’m looking forward to seeing what happens with Barca and Atleti’s swap deal. I really hope Atleti pull the plug on it just to fack Barca over.
Obviously we’ll need a few more weeks to make a judgement
------------------------------------------
I thought that deal was off anyway.
I think Atleti still want him. Would be funny if they are just saying that to fack with Barca. This whole Barca situation really is incredible.
Yeah I read Swiss Ramble's thread on it this morning.
It's insane.
Any Sevilla fans have an opinion on Gil?
Ornstein says the fee is £35m + add ons, if true that’s a massive coup

Don’t think I’ve ever seen a Sevilla fan post on 606 even going back to the BBC days.
That’s a good deal for us. Though it does further highlight the depressed market.
