He essentially said how much better off the world would be if the Empire was still around, and how much people loved it.

He was making some other ridiculous claims on another article like ‘the British only played a small part in the slave trade’.

By the sounds of it he goes to those countries precisely for that reason, as he would be if it were in the UK.

Yeah, we have for example no shortage of Indian and Pakistani members who would find such content massively inflammatory. The sx tourism stuff on here is enough to make my skin crawl but that article was ridiculous

Basically along the lines of what I mentioned above.

Read today that Sancho and Rashford will be getting recalled to the England squad. Rashford I understand but not sure on Sancho yet, he’s been very hit and miss this season.

Probably want to have another look at him within the England set up, see if he’ll be able to perform at a better level than before. We’ve also got a 26 man squad to pick for the world cup as well.

I don’t think any of our English players deserve a call up to the World Cup, Maguire included even though Southgate loves him.

Dusnt Mugwire do ok 4 England tho?

Because Southgate is a defensive manager and plays a style that suits Maguire’s limitations.

I don’t really care about the idea of deserving call ups. It’s about whether they add enough value to the team.
