Holiday/friend is getting married.

Couldn’t go to Panmunjom (you can step into North Korean soil from there) because some diiiiickhead American soldier done a runner into North Korea last month whilst on a tour there. So they’ve completely shut it down.

What's S Korea like, decent ?

Supposed to be hot n sticky at this time of year, East Asian monsoon and all that

What are the women like in general ?

We need reviews.

Japan and S Korea are on my agenda for next years hols.

That's funny, only today I watched a couple of videos about N Korea. One was about Kim Jong-Il's obsession with cinema.

He famously had a S Korean actress and her director ex-husband kidnapped (in separate incidents) in Hong Kong, taken to N Korea and, when they refused to make films for him he threw them in a labour camp for 5 years.

They finally made several films for him. The story is told here:
