Pochettino doesn't want passers in central midfield. It's why he hasn't signed one.

I agree
Btw Sissoko is underrated
Agreed, some Chelsea fans for Bakayoko would be better.

Didn't look this bad when I saw him for Monaco. Poor on the ball but seemed to do well winning the ball, driving forward and giving it to more creative players. Like a technically inept Dembele.
I think some you are a bit too harsh on sissoko
he may not be a spurs type of player but hes the strongest midfielder u got.
dembele has better technical ability
sissoko reminds me of stankovic with his hard work rate and efficient running - box to box midfielder.
Nobody plays him as a box to box midfielder as he's crap there. He plays on the right and has done for years. And he's poor there as all he can do is run.
he wud suit us more than spurs as spurs already have wanyama.

Sissoko would be a player that if he played for a midtable side you would dread playing against him.
Incredible athlete and tactically very astute and versatile. Unfortunately our team is full of athletes so he doesn’t excel as a result, and his lack of technical skill (mainly close control) and inability to play against a low block means he is useless for us most gamss
Yeah didn't dread playing against him when he was against Newcastle. Grande only rates him as he used to always cane up Chelsea. He's a poor player. Me and Andy did tell you all.
begs the question why on earth spurs signed him and why are u not letting inter have him on loan.
Tbf I don’t think he was motivated under poor Newcastle management and think he would do way better under a good manager with tactical nous like Rafa.
In games when we have sub 45% possession he is quality, was one of our better players against BvB and Real Madrid.
The issue is he just isn’t anywhere near good enough to break down any team where he doesn’t have a lot of space to run into. Meaning he is often not needed for us.
That being said he is rarely our worst player on the pitch.
That was funny seeing Spurs fans convince themselves that story was true because Ashley took Spurs to the cleaners.
Poch is weird, doesn't really seem to like actual widemen, but has ended up with wide players like Sissoko, N'Jie and Nkoudou when he's brought them in.
So many excuses. Just admit he's crap.
I’m reading Pochs book ledders and it looks like he had no clue about Sissoko. Tbh he was a bad signing and wish we had even gone for even Winjaldum over him.
Probably got confused by installments of payment, a common feature of transfers. Even then, I'd be surprised if Ashley would accept such a deal.
Honestly Sissoko isn’t crap he just isn’t good enough for a top team. If he was at Burnley he would be a good player and I stand by that.
Poch is also a way overrated manager when it comes to youngsters.
I reckon Ashley is getting paid in instalments, but you would never agree a deal in which if someone sells the player you don’t have to pay
My dad is an Everton fan and I was mocking him endlessly when they went to sign Sissoko. Ended up looking like a right mug a few hours later
He really is.
In funnier news, it looks like Auba's transfer to Arsenal could be on the verge of collapsing as Arsenal won't meet Dortmund's valuation.
