He's a match winner though, amount of times he grabbed winners from where to give us a win or save a point, could of done with that last season.
Bale doesn't get to play his preferred role at Madrid and is in the shadow of Ronaldo, he would excel again for us.

What is his preferred role? He plays on the right of a attacking 3
I do not think we will be in a position to pay anywhere near that sort of wage until we have bedded in to the stadium for a couple of years.
2020
In the meantime, it will be a case of increasing what we pay our current stars. Harry Kane has been arguably better for us now than Bale was over their last 2 years here

I don't understand how any of our fans can say that they would not want Bale back - in the highly unlikely event that we were to sign him.
Purely from a footballing perspective, he would be a great addition to our team. He would bring skill and pace but, above all, experience of winning at the highest level.

Free role behind the striker
Bale does not have the same attraction as he did a couple of seasons ago when he didn't start becoming a crock. I mean it would be great to have him back if we were getting a regularly fit Bale, but to have to spend so much on a player (are we talking about a similar price than what we sold him for?) that may not be available for half the season, would that be a good investment?

I am shocked how many spurs fans are not bothered about the fact that playing for spurs was such a big problem for him that he had to go on strike to go.
why would you that player back? if you don't wanna play for spurs then you can fack off. don't care if you are gareth bale or some snotty nosed kid in the under 10s.
respect for the badge and shirt come above everything for me

I hear what you're saying regarding the way he left and fans are right to be disappointed about that.
But maybe I have a short memory, but I don't recall being as outraged by his behaviour in the same way that I was say with Sol Campbell. I think we all knew at the time that he was going to RM and it was just that Levy was delaying the deal to extract maximum reward and Bale was probably advised to take that step to help speed things up.
I for one would let bygones be bygones in Bale's case. However, as I've said before, it's highly unlikely we will sign him purely for financial reasons.
Gezza. I take your point, and unlike Campbell I don't blame Bale in any way shape or form.. I fully understand why he did it to force through his dream move... he didn't commit to spurs verbally like how Campbell did etc.....
he also didn't come through our system. I don't begrudge him the move, but once he made the decision to strike then as far as I was concerned that was me and him done. I don't wish him bad, I don't wish him well, im just indifferent to him (as a player). I obviously don't know him personally.
He looks half the player he was anytime if seen a Real Madrid game
Rather have Morris back who has got even better
Modric...stoopid tablet changing words
the guy who went on strike to try and force a move to Chelsea?
class class player but he can fack off
All players pull those stunts....I say get over it. If you're waiting for a footballer who's born in the stadium under a star and a birthmark of a cockerel on his arris we'll never sign anyone. Very few players...or next to none give two squitz about the club they play for...that's football now unfortunately

weare you think spurs could afford to shell out over 100m for bale and pay him 300k a week?
and then I am sure you think we can afford it when kane alli eriksen lloris also knock on levys door for 300k a week?

Jesus Christwhy the f*** would any Spurs fan not want Bale back ? Not that we have any chance of signing him but if Bale come back, I would be ecstatic. He would be the difference between Spurs being title challengers to actually winning it.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
1. he went on strike, therefore burnt any bridges in my opinion. players that go on strike to move away from spurs have no business coming back to spurs. the shirt is worth more than anything and it was disrespectful to the club. I get why he did it, and that's fine, as hes not a spurs boy, but still, as far as I am concerned that's that. (same applies to modric).
2. how are we going to pay him? grains of sand?
3. for the amount he would cost, there are actually better / younger / and less injury prone options !
