Has bute posted 'thanks dj, good to hear from someone who actually went to the game' yet?

Chuffed to bits, much more to come as well.
Eno will be a good impact player to bring on, he carries a threat for sure just that final product lacking at times.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
His decision making leaves a lot to be desired. Generally tries to do too much, ties himself in knots and misses the easy outlet to an unmarked player.
"Still have much to learn Glasshopper"
----------------------------------------------------------------------
So frustrating at times but you could see boro were scared of him at times as well, shat he doesn't know what he is going to do so how can they
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It's true no-one knows what he's going to do but we all know what he's not going to do - score a fackin goal!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I heard he's been having extra coaching from Siggy.
A good win against league favourites. Eno played well and is getting better lay off him.

Bit uncalled for.
Yes, I appreciated DJ's review, especially as he'd been to the game. But hasn't felt any need to comment.
For the record, I do appreciate DJ's reviews as they are usually articulate, and make me quite nostalgic about what I am missing.

Tatter? Is that you?
I know it's day one and yes, I know I have been preaching at Bute to calm down but I do think it's worth mentioning that Wolves are currently top of the 'bookies favourites for promotion table'
Wolves 3 points
Aston Villa 1 point
Derby 1 point
Fulham 1 point
Hull 1 point
Middlesborough 0 points
Sheffield Wednesday 0 points
Now all Nuno has to do is engineer it so that we stay there

I think Eno is definitely getting some unfair criticism but really seen much of it on this forum.
He is a young lad and you can tell he has some genuine talent and part of me thinks a loan could be useful but part of me thinks he will a very handy impact sub against tired legs to keep around.
I'd play Eno on Tuesday just to see if he can find the back of the net.

Agreed
Dicko was useless dropped far too deep and allowed Boro to play. Defending at corners and was mile away from the box he should be playing in. Eno was a good outlet and always wanted the ball, he is young and sometimes make the wrong decisions. However he worried Boro and allowed Leo and Jota a little more space.
The time will come when Eno starts to get things right in the final third and when that happens he will at times be unplayable

That's encouraging to hear. The manager clearly sees his potential, so we just have to be patient.
He should not go out on loan and Nuno should get his team working on his composure. If this happens DJ is right the lad will be unplayable. It was a good performance today by all and in Nuno's words we are progressing. Costa and Cav to come back in and another Striker please!
Cracking thread for the new season
Just reading the summary. 48% possession. That's disappointing, but what counts is the fact we won.
Stick your stats up your aris.

The 48% was with the ball on the ground, Mick gets 49% possession but 50% of that is with the ball technically out of stadium so yes........stats can be misleading at times

. No way to deny we pass the ball far more now, don't be fooled as boro also pass the ball and were chasing the game for 60mins so naturally saw more ball.
And agreed on Eno, has real potential to become a good good player.
Face facts, Enos record is the equivalent of Cassidy, not Bull . A real forward is like bonatini - one game one goal, not 18 games no goals. Looks like a case of mass kidology to me
Watching The Championship on C5, nice touch by Agbonlahor, holding up a "thinking of you" t shirt in tribute to Carl.
Nice touch from a local rival.
