Watching The Championship on C5, nice touch by Agbonlahor, holding up a "thinking of you" t shirt in tribute to Carl.

Nice touch from a local rival.

That is a good touch

Face facts, Enos record is the equivalent of Cassidy, not Bull . A real forward is like bonatini - one game one goal, not 18 games no goals. Looks like a case of mass kidology to me

Think that is extremely harsh Wolfgang and think it is worth noting he isn't really a striker either not to mention being a youngster.

At times today he looked brilliant, it is only his decision making that lets him down but that is to be expected.

So Wolves end the day 8th in the league. Same points and goal difference as the team in 3rd. We can try to overhaul teams by winning plenty of games and getting more points than them but if we were in the same level position after 46 games then our disadvantage from an alphabetical perspective looks insurmountable

If he's not a striker, not a midfielder, not a defender and not a goalie then what the hell is he supposed to be ?
Flog him and the useless dicko plus £10 mill to the idiot monk for Bamford and then we would have a forward worthy of the name

Quite happy to put 50 of my poor pensioner £s to 10 of yours that none of the 7 teams above us tonight will still be above us after the 46th game

The difference in passing quality is incredible, every long ball and cross field pass made by a Wolves player falls right at the feet of the intended target.

Ours could go literally anywhere.

Saiss the motm in a few of the reports I've read. Let's hope this is the start of the player who came with a decent reputation last year and who showed very little for most of the time.

I thought Saiss had a very good first half but this was a team performance where everyone played their part. Boly would have been my choice for motm but not much in it between 7 irv8 of them. Miranda one who found things tough at times but will get better, and Bonatini did well despite looking a few steps behind the others in fitness.while Boro paid Jota the compliment of man marking him throughout and kicking him when he tried to go on a run. What was also encouraging is that with the likes of Ronan, Graham, Edwards, Dicko and Batth on the bench and Costa, Cavaleiro and Afuso-Ayeh to come then we do have some depth to the squad and that will prove to be important over the season.

Agree Izam and now that Saiss is surrounded by football players and not galloping heros, I think we'll find the player that we saw at NUFC away last year etc. And you're also correct that the match thread was an excellent start and hard to see how it could possibly improved......but we'll try

i could make a suggestion that would vastly improve the match thread

Did Kevin Doyle score?

Have you been promoted yet?

Actually JH, Kevin Doyle DID score for Colorado Rapids last night, in a 2-2 draw.

Halfy. I am reliably informed that your brilliant match threads have now reached the backwaters and bayous of the Cajuns in Louisiana.

Saw that Agbonlahor tribute on the highlights - nice gesture.

Highlights seemed to show more attacking from Boro than us, but not getting that impression from the forum. Really need to get to Molineux soon and see the Portuguese revolution for myself.

in the hope that after yesterday monk will feel he needs to buy a midfielder i'd try for bamford.
offer marshall, dicko and eno plus plenty of cash to tempt him.

i'd never lie to a mate, mate.no chance of promotion for us but harry boy is a certainty. put your house on 'em

Trying to understand your logic Wolfgang.

Why get Bamford when he can't even start for Middlesbro'? Plus Dicko and Eno will be valuable squad players for us this season and Marshall is in the treatment room.

Bamford played really well for Boro yesterday and they were a much better team after he came on. But I don't think he is the kind of player we need.

Don't agree with much of Spiers report in the e&s. Seems to suggest both teams were below par and that Boro were lethargic. Didn't see it like that at all. Thought it was a good game to watch, just two good teams that were matching each other. Both teams are promotion contenders

posted on 6/8/17

Thought the same, two sides who could actually play football and for an opening game the quality was obvious to see.

Felt we were the better side for 70 minutes and then faded quite a bit, whether that was due to boro really stepping up or just tiredness setting in or perhaps a bit of both.

Thought Saiss outshone Neves yesterday as well and was a real destructive force winning tackles and generally stifling boros midfield though he faded also toward the end.

Biggest difference from last season though was the organization and actually controlling the midfield by actually knocking the ball about, do that and you will win a lot more than you lose.

Hope to see plenty of changes for tuesday.

Ronan, Graham, Bennett, Edwards, Vinagre, Price and Batth should all start I hope and would give Bonatini and Eno more game time also

Thanks for the info Wolfie, although I'm not at all surprised as the 'Halfy's match thread' global brand rolls out across the states.....it was only a matter of time, I bet there's even a few snapping turtles down in the swamp lands that try to get a glimpse of folks devices
