Why do we always do this?

I think it's a case of ...slow.. slow.. quick quick.. slow at the moment, when all we really want is rock and roll !

Antonio's got the C/L in mind for sure this season.

The annoying thing is the club will sack him when results go pear shaped.

If we can't get a replacement for Ake, dont sell him in the first place, thats why Juve won't sell us Sandro and rightly so.

Wing back cover required, another CM, a wide player and another forward required, so 5 players minimum in just over 3 weeks.

Going to be busy.

Can you really see the club making 5 signings that are required to maintain a title challenge? I can't see them making 1 that could be a solid starter unless they can pull the Sandro deal off.

Sandro's saga reminds me of Koulibaly last season. We'll probably end up with another Papy Djilobodji

Literally just want the club to offer whatever they're gonna offer, give him an ultimatum to either hand in a transfer request or we end interest, if reports are to be believed he wants to come (money reasons obviously)

Costa's not a victim in this, doubt the club didn't force him out against his wishes, as you said why would we when he's one of the best strikers in the league.

I can't see them making 5, maybe 2 top class signings.

The Sandro deal seems a bit pie in the sky, could see Rahman being kept for cover instead. Still think we might see cover/replacement for Moses.

A new CM is a must, only having 3 would come back to bite you at some point or it would end up with Luiz moving in there.

A wide player is needed but there are a few at Chelsea who could step into a squad role so that might happen.

Another striker is a must if Costa goes.

One of a number of clubs who's planning for the season has been poor. Tottenham and Liverpool included hence why I think the Title will go to Manchester

I know he's not a victim at all but the club need to be ruthless and force him to stay and hon our his contract or be sold for big money, Coutinho will be sold for close to £100m, I seen somewhere that Atletico werent willing to spend more than £25m on Costa... £25m in today's market 😂😂😂😂😂

Matic wanted to leave or was surplus to requirements? Point being even if they want to leave why should the club just let them leave? Sanchez wants to leave, Arsenal will hold on to him, Koulibaly wanted to leave, Modric wanted to leave, Alex Sandro wants to leave... But their current employers had/have them tied down to a contract so why should we bend over backwards for players wanting to leave?

We sold Cech to Arsenal, Matic & Mata to United, Lukaku to Everton, I just can't grasp why our club doesn't realise the knock on effect this can have to our own ambitions of winning trophies, Matic to Utd makes them genuine title contenders.

Utd wouldn't sell us Herrera/Martial, Arsenal wouldn't sell us anyone directly who improved us and rightly so.

It's a really really hard market. We can't sign players easily because everyone seems to want double what players would usually be sold for. The players leaving is down to them not getting enough game time last season under Conte. It's a combination of those two things that have our squad weak.

One thing I really hate is when I think about us selling John obi Mikel. He wasn't great no, but for years he was happy with mostly sitting on the bench and making the odd appearance whilst being our 4th choice cm usually. We sell him in January and now what do we need a few months later? A new 4th choice CM. and what's it gonna be, like 30m on drinkwater?

Matic would have been a rotation player this year for you though.

Maybe if you offered £35m for Lingard or Young we'd sell them to you.

Matic is world class. He'll be great for Man Utd.

Those days of spending big have long gone. You better get used to the new reality

Couldnt care less about spending big, Just frustrating when we constantly shoot ourselves in the foot. Costa, Matic, Chalobah and Ake didn't need to be sold.

So much doom and gloom on here.

At the risk of sounding like a Jeremy Kyle guest..'at the end of the day' we've been the most successful team in England over the past 3 seasons.
