Spart the remain camp put out scare stories every day during the campaign and continue to this day, like Polish pork pies and Bulgarian Stilton. When Dave went begging the EU to give him something to persuade folk to vote remain, they gave him nothing because they are so arrogant that they thought we would do as we were told. How you can say that the only side to tell lies was the brexit one I can't imagine. I suppose you still think Venezuela is a model of perfect socialism.

Not as low as the Bolivar #socialistparadice
Since when has Brexit been a right wing cause? Tony Benn was anti EU, as is George Galloway, as was Jeremy Corbyn (and many believe still is)
It wouldn't have come to pass without the many votes from 'old' labour voters in the North of England.
For me we need to work on a few things today so wouldn't go academy.
Good chat on Bryson v Butterfield but for me we should be looking at how we can find the form that earned Bryson, Butters and BJ their hefty wages.
BJ made his greatest impact left of the 3 in a 4-2-3-1. Butters, I think was in a 4-4-2 but with players running ahead of him. Bryson was in the 4-3-3 with Hendrick running into blind alleys alongside him and Thorne behind able to find him.
Assuming we see a winger as a higher financial priority than making our midfield work I'm gonna go.
1st half
......................Mitchell......................
Wisdom.....Pearce....Davies...Olson*
......................Baird..........................
............Huddz.......Bryson................
Bennett....................................BJ....
........................Martin......................
Is Lowe injured might be tempted to go him or Anya at left back to give us something down the left. I think Baird played in MF for his Fulham loan and against Grimsby it might be worth seeing how he looks. Not sure if it'll work but this would push the Huddz further up the pitch, even though he's not the box to box I think he could cover the gaps Bryson's chaotic running leaves behind and read the game in ways BJ and Bryson and Butters have shown less evidence of doing.
Bennett just to give him a run out. BJ although not a winger if he played narrower and pushed into the box for crosses I think could make an impact. Need the left full back to overlap here though.
If it fails then don't try it in a championship game if it succeeds then we have some food for thought.
2nd half
Butters for Baird, go 4-2-3-1 BJ still on the left. Bryson ahead of Butters n Huddz.
Then either choose between resting the Huddz and bringing BJ back to play 4-2-3-1 alongside Butters (not that this works very well) but would allow us to try out The Nuge up front n Vydra on the left or leave Huddz on take off Bryson n try out the Vyd behind Martin.
For me it's a chance to tinker with the dysfunctions of Mel's midfield and demonstrate the need for some attention here come rain or shine.
I have a feeling GR n MM might be more focussed on width than depth though with this team.

So, I'm interested, what financial/cultural or anything advantage will Brexit bring without resorting to lies, innuendoes or sound bites?

VC10, scare stories? It was warnings from economists that there were consequences of leaving. Most of the "scare stories" seem to be coming true. The city of London is already losing jobs. Did we change to plastic fivers so they wont be used as toilet paper?
As for Venezuela, it is hard for them to do much when the world's most pwerful economy and military force is doing it's best to undermine the country. Tillerson wants Venezuelan oil for Exxon so the US is financing the opposition groups which include extreme right wing members who have tied up and burnt darker skinned inhabitants of Venezuela for having the temerity to ride a motorcylce near their privileged enclaves. When the armed forces killed two opposition members at a demonstration the Maduro government tried and jailed them. I can't see the US calling for any of the opposition terrorists to be jailed, especially as they are using arms paid for by the US. Don't believe the crap that you are fed but take a look at the facts.
All right wingers are liars per se. It is in their DNA.

We can control the numbers coming here and ultimately halt the race to the bottom (which teachers love to refer to) in wages when our workers don't have to compete with Poles, Bulgarians etc. who send all their money home.
There will be losers financially of course - mainly the big businesses which the remainers seem desparate to prop up.
Anyone who has taken a foreign holiday has lost out already. Big businesses were prospering as they did all their transactions in dollars so the number of pounds they earned increased. Trump's economic policies have dealt a blow to that though.
Chris in my opinion you are partly right....our immigration problem as portrayed by the right wing press, is not caused by hard working Eastern Europeans who contribute taxes to the economy but mostly by family immigration from the old colonies.
I do agree that reducing immigration may increase the wages of those working in those sectors that the immigrants worked, however, this relies on us improving our education system and getting employers to invest in meaningful trading programmes for our own youth.
View reducing any layer of beurocracy and political interference has to be a good thing. I would love to reform Westminster and remove from them the majority of their powers so that decisions can be made locally.
Brexit should be the start of the process not the end of it.
That 'House of Lords' though;
WTF that monstrosity has to do with democracy is beyond me.
I was waiting for Spart to blame the Yanks. Venezuela is in a mess like all other countries that have tried marxism. Tell me of one country which has been successful using ultra socialist ideas?
Look 2 Ws, you are on the wrong thread for tonight's game, but if GR plays your 1st half team I'm changing my forecast to a 4-0 defeat. Did I see you suggesting "resting" Huddz8? Jesus he's only played one match for real and you reckon he needs a rest.
Have I ever mentioned that Kevin Hector only missed one match in 3 seasons?
Chris, you have to ask yourself why the government did nothing to stop the 50% of all immigrants that arrive from non-EU countries?
I suggest the answer is because they didn't want to and this will not change no matter what the result of Brexit, (and I think a lot of people who wanted to "take back control" actually are against immigration, but won't admit it)?
Where is the match thread??
If Australia can rule themselves on their own successfully and likewise New Zealand, why can't we? I voted Brexit so we are in charge of who rules us and if we don't like them we can kick them out. Unlike the EU who hate democracy and if votes don't go their way you have to keep voting till you get the answer they want.
Why do some of you want to be ruled by Angela Merkel? I don't, although she would be an improvement on Corbyn.
It's an opportunity to experiment VC10, Saturday is more important than tonight, solving our midfield imbalance is more important to our season than losing to Grimsby.
If we don't sort out midfield in my mind it would be like voting for an ultra socialist to run a country that the workers don't have.
Some information in Brexit/remain voters.
63% of over-65s, but just 28% of 18-24s, voting Leave.
Other age ranges were less divided; almost four in ten 25-44 year olds (37%) voted Leave.
78% of those with a degree voted Remain, while 69% of those whose highest educational attainment was a GSCE grade D-G voted Leave.
While 91% of Remain voters say immigration ‘enriches’ cultural life, only 9% of Leave voters think the same.
Everyone is different but if you wanted to stereotype a leave voter it would be old, uneducated and racist.
I am not saying whether they are right or wrong but would any sensible government leave the most important economic decision to this group.
VC10, take a look at Norway.
The US must of course take some of the blame for economic problems in South and Central America. It has treated this area as part of it's "empire" since the Monroe doctrine.
It has also invaded many of them at one time but prefers to finance groups to do its dirty work. This is not left wing ramblings but well documented. Name a country in South and Central America where the US has not interfered.

Huddz8, Johnson, Russell and the man who played for 5 minutes Bryson have knocks and may miss the game. Good God what a bunch of softies. In the old days Kevin Hector only missed 1 match in 3 seasons! Then he became the fastest postman in Quarndon. They don't make them like that any more....... Bryson injured
I recall of fond times, back in the day.
I was with a girlfriend, in my car, in a secluded spot.
Things began to get a bit heated in the petting department.
The seats got lowered, we got naked and she then said 'Kiss me where it smells'
That killed the atmosphere as its a long way from Markeaton Park to Grimsby.

Well if you put it like that I'm with you I must say I'm not as excited at our prospects this season as I have been. I don't think it is Brexit, I think we are in for a lot of boring football. Things just don't seem to be right, there isn't the eagerness of old, are we getting fed up with constant failure? I'm certainly fed up with the continuing Lawrence saga, we should be told when a player is signed like they used to do in BC's day.
