Evening! Been out all day without a chance to check in. Saw the highlights. What a debut by Bouch! The first was a great strike with players closing him down quickly. The second was beautifully crafted. Still a bit open at the back when players run from deep and crosses are piled in but you can't sniff at four goals away from home against a team that have had the Indian sign over Forest.

McKay seems to have found his feet already and looks like he is a constant danger. If he stays fit, he could be the crux of a decent season.

Clough is blowing a bit hot and cold in that midfield by the sounds of it. There is some real competition now in the attacking areas. I really want it to happen for him at the CG.

Barnsley next. They haven't had a great start but will go at Forest with their all guns blazing style so it could be another high scoring game. Three wins in a week is good form for Forest but the challenge is keeping the run going as expectation is bound to grow.

That's the problem with Forest fans Will.

We survived on the last day of the season on goal difference alone and now after 3 wins, some will start to think we can be a top 6 side.

Remember we had a decent start to last season as well and we all know how that ended. Let's just enjoy the moment and take the season by each game. Raising expectations as this stage will do us no good. There are a lot of hard teams this season with many of them expecting at least a top 6 finish.

A top ten finish this season and Warburton still as our manager would be a good result after the mess Fawaz left us in.

It seems different this time, super.
The great start under Psycho was looking shaky, as it was Antonio and Britt running the show.
Last season just seemed bizarre at the start, this seems measured and not a fluke.
I'm not suggesting we should be expecting a promotion push, I'm suggesting we won't be in trouble come April next year.

I agree Strett. I managed to catch the whole game on a live stream. I felt that our passing game was disciplined and almost matched Brentford's. Given that they have had more time to gel. I think we will only get better as the players get to know one another.

Let's hope so.

Would be nice to see a season of progression rather then the inevitable dread that things are just going to get worse as we have had for the last five seasons.

It is sad that the last enjoyable season was 2010/11.

In addition it isn't nice to see a bit of calm down at the city ground for once.

No mad owner with his outbursts on twitter and no winding up petitions every other week.

At least small steps are being taken in the background of the club. Randall seems to be the one running the club on a day to day basis and Marikianas seems to be content to remain quiet in the background.

we have also had young, cheap signings that make an impact on the field which is what we have needed for years. Let these kids gel and progress then we might be in a position to compete for more expensive signings if need be

You could see the attention to the passing element, right from the keeper up to the top where the forwards we're continually looking for the killer pass. Noteably passing the ball forwards, not sideways or backwards...! Encouraging early signs.

Very good signs in midfield and forward positions but our defence is dodgy and we won't be pushing for play offs because we'll concede too many goals unfortunately. I don't know if it's the set up or the players but I'm sure the manager will sort it out.

Yes, might get pegged back in a few too many games to hope for more than a top ten place as it stands. MW seems up for the challenge of improving the squad, though. So nice to be talking about just the football and not what calamity is likely to befall the Reds behind the scenes next....

I'm quite hopeful that an actual rivalry will ensue this season as we transistion under a new manager and he goes about the business of shipping out the perennial failures and bringing in his own players; it is no fun at all to see your rivals floundering quite as badly as you were under Fawaz and there's a real edge back in the rivalry stakes.

Hopefully the derbies will be competitive and I doubt either you or us would be confident going into them; we will both be top half this year so it'll be an interesting side-bet to see which team finishes higher. With neither relegation nor promotion liiking likely to be on either of our radars, the East Midlands rivalry will come to the fore and I for one hope that 606 will be a decent banterground again because of it, you mangey tossbags you.

Over the last 10 years there have been 9 wins for Derby 6 to Forest and 3 draws. While the overall record stands at Forest 39 wins and Derby 37

both teams have completed the league double once.

basically, the derby games has been a 50/50 game for a long time and the fact neither team is good enough to be promoted is hardly news......

thanks all the same

One could almost garner from 666's comments that he is worried that the red phoenix will arise from the Fawaz ashes and be a force once more. He is damming us with faint praise.

He has found himself some new golfing chums, that only have one arm and other such handicaps, as he got tired of me humiliating him on his own course, week in week out.
So I've a bit of spare time so got myself a season ticket.

Expect expert post-match analysis from hereon in.

Strett, so you have met the man behind the 666?

is he really as ugly as the rest of the Derby board suggest????

I've not swung a bat since December!

A recurrence of my shoulder injury has waylaid my meteoric rise through the golfing ranks, and unfortunately coincidd with my paying upfront for an annual membership of my local golf club; possibly the most expensive pair of rounds ever, coming in at around £400 each!

I'm not worried by the resurgence of the reds; I welcome it. Healthy competition drives us all on, and the bi-annual Taking Candy From Babies ceremony is a minor casualty from our calendar.

No Bunk, he has met me; a subtle but important difference.
He hounded me for many a month to play golf with him, so I gave in and have shown him the ropes a few times; it gets a tad embarrassing but I see it as a charitable gesture and he gets a few hours in my company to brag to his mate about.

Ugly? If you were to meet Vidal then you would have a datum.

Strangely, I don't find that the least bit surprising!
